The Department of Defense is slamming the door on questions about the mysterious contrail filmed Nov. 8 by a KCBS television crew near Los Angeles after questions were raised about a warning from the National Geo-Spatial Intelligence Agency that there could be missiles fired in that area at that time.

Are you kidding? This is WND we're talking about. The editor probably put those in.
OK, Gargle-man,
I've ignored your crap so far, but hunker down -- you have INCOMING -- being loaded into the breech... '-)
Uh... whut? Were you maybe intending to reply to somebody else? ‘cuz... that makes no sense.
The shadow in the cbsla picture proves it’s a horizontal airplane contrail, I’ve seen many exactly like that over midwest USA ;

BTW, I note that you just invited some more folks who came to this battle of wits -- half-armed,,, ;-)
Well done!
;-)
Your first two photos helped me understand something Gil Leyvas stated when we spoke. He said there were details in the video that had not been shown on TV or online, such as how at one point the contrail lined up parallel with the LA harbor jetty, which was how he was certain of the location of the contrail when he first spotted it. I don’t think that first image you posted was in any of the video I’ve seen online. I had reviewed some images of the LA harbor but never understood this perspective of the contrail being parallel with the harbor jetty till you posted these two images.
But Finny supposedly has some "expert" who she claims tells her that the shadowing proves that the contrail is vertical and headed northwest.
It's the only shred she has left to cling to -- and it is soon to be severed.
Never mind that they have zero knowledge of the sun's azimuth or angular position below the horizaon -- or of the contrail's relative position as it races southward. (See the GOES-West animations..)
As I said, read most any of Finny's posts. Aside from cast personal aspersions, they consist of:
1) You ain't never seen no missile -- and I have.
2) My "resident expert" sez the shadows tell him it was headed northwest the last time he seen it...
3) Butchered video and retired generals are better than that "science hooptidoodle!".
4) Slander a little more and --
5) GOTO 1)
(Believe it or not, that outburst is all part of my eevil plan...) :-}
I’d think a vertical missile contrail doesn’t have enough density inline with a setting sun to produce a shadow like the one in the picture, are there any pictures of missile contrail shadows?
I’ve seen one shuttle contrail shadow picture;

I’m sure you know you’re “preachin’ to the choir”, here... ‘-)
“The point at which the geodessic systems “
You’re obviously wanting to sound knowledgeable and technical as to appear intelligent and in-the-know but to a real rocket scientist you sounded retarded. First, you misspelled the word “geodesic”, and, second, no guidance system is known as a “geodessic system”.
“The change from vertical flight to great circle flight is always unmistakable”
Really, Mr. Expert? Really? “unmistakable”, you say?
One thing, hotshot, missiles don’t follow great circles. It is obvious you don’t even know what a great circle is.
“Everyone knows the federal government is notorious for lying”
Sure, but that doesn’t mean that you are right. You’re only conclusion is that because the federal government lies so much you must be right, and that isn’t anything but a lie as well.
You still haven’t explained how a missile stayed in that airspace for ten minutes and wasn’t long gone as a real missle would be.
Finny joined the choir?
BTW, that's a great APOD shot! Gotta finish off this fiasco -- so I can catch up on APOD and other important things.
What is the original source of that picture taken from the north?
> and, second, no guidance system is known as a geodessic system.
.
You’re a buffoon!
All systems that navigate based on a global algorithm fall in that category. Among them are our GPS constellation, and the Russian GLONASS constellation, both of which I use frequently. Europe is also assembling one of their own.
Prior to GPS we also had the Transit constellation.
