My husband was filmed for this episode- and did not make the final cut.
He hunted right before Sarah arrived.
He said the footing was real hard- remember when her father fell?
She also slept in the same tent and campsite my husband did.
It was fun to watch- and to know my husband did the same thing just a day before she arrived. He was telling me his stories as we watched the show.
He said he got the biggest caribou of the season in that site. Our trophy is at the taxidermist.We are eating the meat.
Sue- the woman who runs the camp kicks some serious butt.
My husband really admired her.

I've never had to 'field dress' a deer or elk (like they did) - was always near a road and a vehicle to get it to a locker for a curing... which they didn't have the luxury of.
Just like beef - game needs curing, otherwise flavor can suffer quite a bit. But, never having taken caribou, I know nothing of how they deal with that problem.
But, obviously they went for the best cuts, and left quite a bit of meat in the field that could have been mixed with pork for great breakfast sausage. It's not unusual to have 30 to 40 pounds of sausage from an animal the size that she took.

I will be watching the 12 December show which has Kate on. That one will be a hoot and probably will have the show back up to 5 million. I can’t wait for Sarah to make Kate cry.....lol.
