lol - it’s the joy of FR. we eat our own. i didnt notice a single typo in your post - but then again mine are usually rife with them!
Love Wegman’s. I don’t get there often (I’d have to drive to State College) unless I visit my daughter. There’s one in the Harrisburg area. Incredible selection and great prices!
Why I’m a charter member of the “Save the Corn” coalition!
The best, absolute best crop of sweet corn I ever grew escaped worms, wind, racoons, drought, everything that normally struck down my best effort. I was coming home from work on my Friday ready to pick the corn that weekend when coming up the road the neighbors cows and horses were in the garden. Everything was gone! The corn, the pumpkins, the watermelon, the herbs, everything. If it wasn’t eaten it was trampled on. The kicker was the cattle had pooped and peed in the inflatable kids pool before the hooves destroyed it.
Well, I spent the afternoon herding his critters back and fixing his fence. Then when he finally did come by all I asked him to do was pay for the pool. You wouldn’t believe the arrogence of him saying it wasn’t his fault and he wasn’t paying.
While I struggled for an answer he must have realized the tenuous hold on life he had because he quickly agreed to pay for the pool.
But I’ve always had a problem with sweet corn. It’s like my curse.
If you really want a lot of posts on a thread miss spell something in the title.
It is only bad to post to yourself when you don’t know you are posting to yourself.
Wegmans is awesome! I used to work there in the day, shop there now whenever I can. It’s over in the next county by the mall. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it there. I just pulled out my Wegman’s Christmas sweatshirt to wear for the holidays. LOL
Oh dear, poor you. I have 3 within 5 miles.... Will enjoy Trader’s for you. Should I go to the new one with the great parking? or the one that opens at 8 but parking is a bit tight? Then there’s that one near work that I can get to at lunch.
It is God’s gift, perhaps, for us here in CA having to put up with Moonbeam and the Sacto Idiots.
The unassailable logic and general brilliance of this rebuttal is truly dizzying.
I doubt if they were even students.
I <3 Wegmans’s also. Too far from my house tho. We have a couple of Whole Food Markets and Trader Joes. They are all at least 10 miles from my house so I drive and shop once a month. Wish they were closer. I would love a Wegman’s here.
@surroundedbyblue... if it were not so sad, it would be funny. :(
I have to say I was not impressed with the random encounters with Duquesne students last summer when I was there attending a conference ( on Gregorian chant BTW ).
Anyway one day in the campus cafe I overheard one student explaining to another how “Cheney” caused the Deepwater Horizon spill and was personally profiting from it while his moronic girlfriend nodded solemnly.
Not at all, thanks!!
Trader Joes.....Sounds like a wonderful place to shop.
Ooooooo! And I can protest ‘cause I’m payin’ like, $50,000 a year to go to school here! You should listen to me like, ‘cause I know what I’m talkin’ ‘bout!
“Working through some 2 buck chuck? ;-)”
I haven’t bought any in a while, but I think 2-Buck Chuck now goes for three bucks, doesn’t it?
Mine does!
What’s wrong with wearing a North Face jacket? It is winter you know.
Grove City was so terrific for both my girls it almost made me want to go back to college. Students cannot graduate from GCC without demonstrating that they have learned, and learned to think.
“Whats wrong with wearing a North Face jacket? It is winter you know.”
Nothing :-)
I own one myself. I paid for it, though AFTER I got 7 years of education & a job that pays six figs with only a little help from my mom (God bless her). I worked while I was in school, and although I still have student loans, I supported myself & never asked my parents for anything. My mom voluntarily forked over some cash.
I was simply commenting about his $$$ jacket because this kid struck me as the entitlement type & I’m willing to bet his parents are paying for the coat AND the education. Perhaps I’m wrong but I’m just sayin’.....
