There was a very tender moment in the third show where Sarah was reflecting on Matthew, another Down Syndrome child in the family (nephew, I think), a few years older than Trig.

She choked up a bit contemplating her future and that of her youngest son. Who wouldn’t?

I found it a very human and touching moment.

Perhaps others saw it too.

Mostly they hate her because she tells the truth and loves America.

Mortal sins to the Leftist religion.

I recently say a tag that said,”Conservatives get mad when they are lied to. Leftists get mad when you tell them the Truth!”

*beautiful, strong, intelligent, articulate, healthy-looking, truth-telling ... gun-totin’, sports-lovin’, all-American

There’s another important quality that is obvious, but many of these lists leave out:

She’s cheerful. Happy and affable. Like you-know-who. She keeps a positive attitude whether she’s being attacked, or doing the attacking. Not a grumpy Gingrich, or with the slightest bit of anger.

Frankly, I think her good cheer conveys POWER.*

I think another thing that makes people like her:

NOT FAKE

Please, friend, don’t go all KGB loco and accuse me for what you think I think. You can read (or hear) my words, and you can tell me what I wrote or said, but you’ll never know what I think, unless I choose to let you know.

People that want a government check hate Palin..
People that don't want a government check love Palin..

Its really quite simple..
And it is not a federal government check BUT any check from any government..
Palin haters are perpetual teenagers.. demanding other peoples money..

Is that so? Then those people must have forgotten about Palin's proposal in 2008 to spend $1.2 billion to distribute an "energy relief debit card" worth $1,200 to everyone in Alaska.

It seems to me that those who don't want a government check ought to take a closer look at Palin's record before falling in love with Palin.

You mean a state spending state tax revenues in a way the state thinks might be best? NOT spending MY federal taxes?

Looks like I've picked the wrong day to stop commenting on Mrs Palin.

:) Thank you, TPK!

Thats not federal money but money received from the oil company's as royalty's to Alaska.. Alaska has lots of energy OWNED by all Alaskans NOT citizens of other States.. or the federal government..

Why should they(alaskans) NOT benefit from it?..
You seem to not see the difference between federal money and State money.. or Private money..
Are you a democrat?..

Your tag?!
Thanks for putting it. I’ll be using it from time to time, if you don’t mind.

This is a really good one!

The poster I was responding to specifically said - "And it is not a federal government check BUT any check from any government..". I believe the State of Alaska falls under "any government".

Also, plenty of your federal taxes were spent in Alaska under Palin - more per capita than any other state.

Finally, I don't really see how the difference is relevant here. RomneyCare was also "a state spending state tax revenues in a way the state thinks might be best", but I don't see anyone excusing Romney on that account - nor should they. If imposing a "windfall profit tax" and spending the money on a massive welfare scheme isn't conservative at the federal level, then why is it conservative at the state level?

Sarah Palin is a once-in-a-lifetime phenomenon in politics. She is a charismatic constitutionalist. It's the combination that's so vital. Reagan had it. It scares the Democrats to death.

And there you have it.

I came up through an environment just like hers, with deer and moose hangin’ in the wood shed every fall, pickin’ fiddle heads , strawberries, blue berries, raspberries and cranberries, fishing for salmon. That’s another world from what most Americans know. And it is a good world. That’s what her speech quality reminds me about.Sophisticated America has lost touch with the strength of our land, that good earth beneath our feet. That’s part of sophisticated America’s burgeoning malaise. It is that strength that makes Sarah Palin almost invulnerable.

THAT IS BEAUTIFUL.

Don't mind at all. Even Rush uses it on occasion.

So wait a minute. You specifically said “And it is not a federal government check BUT any check from any government..”? But when I pointed out that Palin proposed just such a check, you make the excuse that it’s “not federal money”.

If it is, as you said, “really quite simple”, then why are you suddenly contradicting yourself? Are people who love Palin opposed to “any check from any government”, as you said in your first post, or just checks from the federal government, as you implied in your second post?

Or are you just backpedaling in order to make excuses for Palin?
