Have you seen the letter??? I've seen copies on the I'net, and in it she certifies that "Barack Obama meets the qualifications to run for the office of President" (or similar language), and that she certifies him by the her authority as the leader of the Democrat Party.

That letter has NEVER made any sense to me. What legal standing under the federal Constitution or any state constitution does EITHER political party have to certify a candidate's qualfications??

The fact that the Secretaries of State of the various states ACCEPTED it as proof has always struck me as totally insane.

Here is a copy provided to me by the attorney for the Secretary of State for Tennessee. It is the Certification of Nomination. It says nothing about qualifications. She is writing as Chairman of the Democrat National Convention and is presenting the results of the nominating procedure. That's all.
