(CNSNews.com) -- Rep. Michele Bachmann (R.-Minn.), founder and chairman of the House Tea Party Caucus, told CNSNews.com that there will need to be an insurrection against the House Republican leadership if it does not hold an independent, straight up-or-down vote on repealing the entire Obamacare law that does not tie this repeal to other policy initiatives including any effort to replace elements of Obamacare with new federal health-care reforms.
A spokesman for House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R.-Va.), who will be the House majority leader in the next Congress, told CNSNews.com in response to Bachmanns statement that Cantor agrees with Bachmann and is committed to the vote she wants.

You are correct except those college policies are not free.
Currently it costs me very little additional to insure them.
So yes, covering their health insurance through 8 years of college is a big benefit.
If my policy could not cover them, then they will either have to buy a policy or pay the annual fine imposed by mandates in Obamacare.
You may be right. But if a law is already passed, which stipulates spending x amount of dollars along its span, how can the new congress reverse that without passing another law?
Are you saying that a law already authorizing expenditures is meaningless unless approved each year by the congress?
Any new bill to stop funding will be vetoed by Obamao.
Actually my premiums are staying the same because full time students until age 26 were covered by my policy BEFORE Obamacare passed, as are covered by most other policies. Now it will save us the headache of sending transcripts every quarter to the insurance company proving they are enrolled full time in college.
I really appreciate that convenience. If they decide to take a year off from college between undergrad and graduate schools to work for practical experience, they will be covered.
I am a self made financially independent person. I do not look at every thing as black and white. There are always gray areas in most things. Even Obamacare has a few good points. Rep. Cantor is right when he wants to accept some parts of Obamacare and reject others.
I don’t think that the Obamacare law that was passed actually authorizes future spending. I think that is done each year.
If non-students previously uncovered are now required under Obamacare to be covered then this will cost your insurer money. Why won’t they raise rates to offset this additional expense?
Then pass them separately. zot
Don't mean to sound calloused but if you don't see the point by now then no amount of explaining will do you any good.
Because whether they are students or not, it costs exactly the same to the insurer to cover them until they are 26.
This cost is very minimum for the overall population because people under 26 have a very small health care expense foot print. Where it comes in handy for parents like me is that they are covered at a very nominal cost for any catastrophic illness or accident. The additional cost to me for a family plan is $76/month which seems very reasonable to cover 2 youngsters until 26.
I hope you are right. I just do not know enough details in that 2000+ page monstrosity law which few people have read.
Absolutely. Even if it eventually goes nowhere, at least we’ll see which GOP congresscritters need to be replaced next time around.
“For example my college age kids are automatically covered on my policy until age 26. They can not afford policies of their own while full time students in college.”
Oh, please... Why should WE taxpayers pick up the bill for YOUR kids’ medical?
You already are! Every reputable insurance company has offered a family plan which covers full time students in family until age 26.
Obviously you are not familiar with this type of policy.
I have had this type of policy since 1987.
The only difference now is that we will not have to send transcripts every quarter to the insurance company proving full time student status. Less paper work for every one! That is very good. That is a huge convenience to us.
“Every reputable insurance company has offered a family plan which covers full time students in family until age 26.”
Are the policies by “reputable (private) insurance companies” subsidized by tax dollars, or by the pool of policy holders?
A family plan costs just a few more dollars than a plan for the individual & spouse. The reason is kids do not have a large cost foot print on insurance reimbursement dollars.
So, I have to assume the policy holders always bear the cost.
Like I explained, nothing has really changed with the Obamacare in this situation except paperwork will be lot less.
So this particular item in Obamacare is good. I am sure you realize nothing in life is all white or all black. There are always gray areas. Overall Obamacare is awful, but not 100% bad.
Spread the word, it has to start somewhere.
