God bless this wonderful daughter, but I really wonder if she knows and uses the word canard? I would guess somebody wrote this for her and it would be better for her to voice her own feelings in her own words. Please, no ghost writers. It just gives your enemies more ammo to use against you. I would also guess I could be wrong about this.

What is so special about canard that a reasonably well educated adult would not be aware of it?

It is an entirely unreasonable assumption on your part, and does more to cast aspersions on her despite your flattery of her.

I have no doubt she wrote it herself. She is a fairly smart young lady as near as I can tell.
HOWEVER, comparing getting pregnant out of wedlock as a teen to being a gang member, drug user and alcoholic isn't wise or logical. Further, her pitch to teens is flawed because she's traded on her pregnancy and been successful; rock videos, reality television, speaking fees. She's famous for two things; her mother and getting pregnant. How is that an effective message to teens?
