It does not surprise me in the least that the latest ‘bung-hole’ recruited to head the BATFE thinks .223 is a ‘heavy’ caliber.

This govt. is so stupid. All they have to do is ban guns and the American people will acquiesce. The feds have the bigger guns, the propaganda, and others to enforce what they say.

Theyre so powerful, body armor cant withstand a hit, and theyre so difficult to control, their bullets often get sprayed beyond the intended targets, striking innocent victims even when theyre in their own homes.

When talking to lawyers, I have taken to calling anything signed by a judge as an
Execution Order.
I point out to them that if lawyers are going around attempting to redefine military terms in the public eye, they can expect military people to redefine legalese.
What goes around, comes around.

Speaking of M16s, M4s, and AK-47s, Traver is correct when he states that the guns covered by the federal assault-weapons ban were military-style weapons. But he fails to note that this really just deals with style the cosmetics of the guns, not how they actually operate. The guns covered by the ban were not the machine guns actually used by the military, but civilian, semi-automatic versions of those guns. The civilian version of the AK-47 may look like the guns used by militaries around the world, but it is different. It fires essentially the same bullets as deer-hunting rifles at the same rapidity (one bullet per pull of the trigger), and does the same damage. well they should be the military versions....if we are going to go by the Constitution, as determined by the Supreme court in the 1930’s that only military weapons should be covered under the 2nd amendment. A bad ruling, that works in our favor under certain circumstances.

I worked with Traver several years ago, and I remember when he was a wet behind the ears newly minted Special Agent. I’m surprised that he’ll be pulled out of the Chicago office, when Illinois is such an anti-gun state.

ASSAULT WEAPONS?
Arent weapons by definition used for assault?
Anything that could be used to Assault someone could be considered a weapon and any weapon could be used for an assault.
This could be a tree branch, rock, fist, broken bottle
And its kind of like calling something a Light Lamp or Fork Utensil its a redundant and meaningless phrase and a phrase that means nothing can mean anything sort of like the phrase Hopenchange
