No Christmas in Philly? Say What?!?

The city of Philadelphia PA was named after one of the oldest Christian Churches in the New Testament, Its the "city of brotherly love" (Christian brotherhood) For Christ sake.. Are they offended by the name of the city? When are the atheist moonbats going to file suit against the city and make them change the name of the city?

Will they file suit to have them remove the Bible verse from the Liberty Bell?!? Its absurd. The folks @ Fox & Friends need to study our nations history and show the public how foolish and disgusting this PC BS is...

Merry Christmas From Texas Everyone!

I keep thinking that sooner or later some atheist is going to file a lawsuit over a Muslim coworker’s prayer rug and his demonstrating his/her devotion to the Prophet and Allah at their employment.

I guess that is different.........

I figured out what I’m going to do....Go down to the Town Hall and put a little teeney Manger set under the bushes. In the spring, when they plant their flowers, someone will find it.

Ever wonder about what drives an atheist?

Those that believe and worship God fear eternal damnation and look for salvation. A disbelief in God would result in damnation.

Exactly what happens if an atheist thinks that there may actually be a God? Do they fear eternal nothingness? Exactly what is the reward for not believing and what is the punishment that they seem to fear for entertaining the possibility of a greater power?

Something that really needs to be driven home to people is that eliminating any religious role for Christmas will come with a very steep price.

There have been plenty of threads here in recent years over apparent efforts by various retailers to eliminate even a reference to the word "Christmas" in their "holiday" advertisements at this time of the year. People are justifiably outraged over this, and these threads are filled with contact information for the offending retailers, calls for boycotts, etc.

I've taken it even one step further. Not only do I go out of my way to patronize retailers who are proud of keeping "Christ" in Christmas . . . but I go out of my way to avoid doing business -- throughout the entire year -- in cities and towns that remove their creches and other religious symbols from public areas. In this day and age, this seems like a very small, easy thing that any Christian can do to take a stand.

Merry Christmas from New Jersey, DirtyHarry!

This is not logical at all this year. Ramadan has come and gone, Hanukkah will be over in a week ... nothing left after that except Christmas. Well, and that made up “holiday” called Kwanzaa.

They’re not offended by Christmas. They’re offended by Christians.

Exactly!!! I have yet to hear anything about an athiest protesting anything Islam or Jewish. Only those that worship Jesus.

Just once, I’d like to see one of these people asked what happens to them when they are “offended”. Do they break out in a rash, suffer palpitations, grow a second head, etc.? Put these idiots on the spot - if they do come up with an answer (ought to be a doozy) ask them where it says that they have a right not to be offended. That goes for anybody who wants to shut down a part of our culture because of their tender sensibilities.
