Children as young as five years old are being forced by one Calif. school district to watch propaganda movies touting the virtues of homosexuality. Vallejo Unified School District officials say the so-called "anti-bullying" curriculum is mandatory for grades K-5 and parents can not opt-out their impressionable youngsters.
“We do not feel that this is an area that students can opt-out and we feel that this is an area that we do not have to give prior notification,” Superintendent Floyd Gonella told KNTV-11 after a recent school board hearing.
Young students whose parents might not have breached the topic of homosexuality on the home front will find themselves forcefully subjected to three movies "portraying toleration behavior" towards their homosexual schoolmates. "Despite parents' resistance, officials say the viewings are non-negotiable and court-ordered," reports Afro.com, an online news publication serving black Americans.
The events leading up to the school district imposing its mandatory anti-bullying, pro-homosexuality curriculum on young students occurred in 2009 when a lesbian Vallejo student and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) sued the district for discrimination and won. As a result, the district was ordered by the court to incorporate "anti-gay harassment and discrimination training into the school system’s curriculum resulting in the films."

What the heck are the films saying. “If somebody is gay that doesn’t mean you should bully him” is not quite the same as “Look how wonderful it is to have daddy-daddy and mommy-mommy families.”
My first thought is that this is reason #28,739 to not have your kids in public school.
But think about it for a minute. There are something along the lines of 500,000 FReepers. Assuming each of us has school aged kids and that each of us pull those kids out of school, that leaves millions upon millions of kids being brainwashed by the government indoctrination sites (a/k/a public schools).
The point is that pulling kids out of school, while it is undoubtedly the best thing for your kids, does not solve the problem for us as a society, as for each and every properly educated child of a FReeper, there will be hundreds if not thousands of brainwashed slugs. And in a society where a brainwashed slug has the vote the same as a properly educated child of a FReeper, the math doesn’t work.
And as the constant 24X7 brainwashing gets more and more intense, we will see societal effects get more and more intense. After all, could you imagine see an Obama elected to office 40 years ago (regardless of skin color)?
And the stupid parents go along with this....the end

Memo to School Board, Administrators and Teachers:
Since you are so intent on raising my children despite my objections, you are hereby financially responsible for them. You will be required to feed, house, educate them through college, insure, transport, entertain, provide annual vacations and all other functions of a parent - with ZERO dollars from me. It comes out of your existing budget.
Should you find this unacceptable, you will cease and desist from all activities that exceed the three R’s - a basic requirement that you have too long neglected.

How is touting the virtue of homosexuality not going against someone’s religion? If someone suggested that all California schools teach that stealing was wrong, you would have an outcry of “enforcing your morality onto others”. Children at that young an age have no idea about homosexuality/heterosexuality anyways. Ask any little girl and she will say she prefers to be with other girls (same with boys). Is this a way to make the children assume they are gay? Just a thought.

This is just their latest stage of their long-term plan. Mandatory indoctrination.
I think they’ll be through hitting us with more stuff, once they get gays up to, maybe, 20% of the population. They consider that their critical mass for protection against any regression in the laws and progress they’ve made.
The homosexuals are one of the spear points in the “gov’t vs Christianity” war. The prince of this world will use the power of the state to oppress Christianity.
One thing everyone needs to make note of.
This is another example of how the left operates.
They take a word with a known meaning, in this case “bullying”,
and apply it in a different way or totally change its meaning.
Now, “safe schools”, or “anti-bullying programs” simply mean advancing the worship of homosexuality.

The district was ordered by the court to do this. They have no choice. The only choice parents have is to pull their kids out, start a small private school, or homeschool.
“Gonella” sounds like something you catch through homo sex.
When they care more about their children, and their country, then they do about their bass boat, their vacations, their cable TV...
But remarkably, there is a large contingent of public school supporters here on FR, so I ain't holding my breath.
No justice, no peace. Parents should be protesting outside the homes of those involved in implementing this policy and on holidays if necessary.
Why isn't the school district appealing the decision in the case to a higher court if they don't agree with it?
You do realize if this sort of thing stands, it is just a matter of time before the government will mandate private schools teach this sort of thing and outlaws homeschooling, don't you?
Agree. Imagine; Parents feeling safe bedcuase they can locate sex offenders in their area. Meantime. . .
