Last one to leave Detroit, please turm out the lights.

Didn’t we go through this in the late 70’s/early 80’s(through Obama’s mentor Carter)? Remember the tent cities under the overpasses?

In the 1980s, many from “up north” also brought their love of gubmint with them. That is why he said, “Aw crap.” I welcome the folks who want to ABANDON socialism.

Just dump the RINO’s in TX like Kay Bailey, Cornyn and Rick Perry.

TX energy complex and tons of nat gas will keep the state in good shape.

Thanks to George Mitchell of Mitchell Energy and horizontal drilling - Texas is going through yet another energy boom. Who knew Fort Worth was sitting on billions of cubic feet of nat gas?

Yep. My family escaped from Detroit to Austin in ‘75. We have no desire to ever return to that cesspool in MI. Hook’em Horns baby.

Lol, I hope not, don’t want a bunch of liberals moving in. We have enough trouble with the welfare hoard from south of the border!

I saw the contrast from Hurricanes Alicia and Ike.
I heard people complaining about FEMA not showing up in a timely fashion during Ike.
I never heard the word FEMA during Alicia.
Different world now.

Ah, Alicia. I lived in Houston during that one. Had food, water, and batteries stockpiled well in advance.

Yes indeed, the kind of thing self-sufficient people do.
We did the same during both. Water in the bathtub, etc....

I second that. All true conservatives, join us. But Texas is in the cross-hairs of the king. And we might need to go our own way. That’s just the hard reality of it. Texas has been on her own before and could do it again.

If that doesn’t scare you then do as those in Tennessee did in 1835 and write “GTT” on your door.

That stands for “Gone To Texas”
