A little slow to react, but I guess the bad press finally forced Obama to do something (or at least appear to be doing something)

I find it fascinating they didn’t give a snot about the leaks until they started coming from the State Department.

I suppose it’s all classified, but does anyone know when this idiocy got started? It was a huge violation of the “need to know” principle. Classified Documents 101 should be enough to tell anyone not to do put every secret diplomatic file in the world into a system where any corporal with a security clearance could access all of it, and where any hacker could probably download it, too.
What on earth were they thinking?

This is called closing the barn door after the horses have escaped. It does help focus the attention on where the primary responsibility—the the blame—lies for the release of the secrets, and whatever damage that may have caused.

It’s funny nothing this drastic ever occurred when we weren’t so “sensitive” and politically correct and enforced our laws.

I’m guessing that Obama didn’t bother warning Hillary, or the State Department BEFORE it was all published — it’s not like the WH wasn’t given the opportunity to ask them NOT to publish these files months ago.

Remember when the climate gate files were released? Everyone loved that. And we can thank it for putting the brakes on that scam. Well this is no different in many ways. And everyone acts like the difference is night and day. For 90% of the information it is good that it is exposed.

US Government and Intelligence - Go Figure that one out is like Molasses moving in January.
If you want an intelligent conversation - do not seek out anyone that works for the government, because on the whole the government has no intelligence.
With the current administration their about as smart as a box of rocks, and the only movement the box has it is moving down a hill.
The media said that Obama was the most intelligent person to ever occupy the White House. The media was lying

The leaks got out because somebody very high in the government wanted them out.
Obviously by now what they wanted to get out has gotten out.

The 0bama administration didn’t give a crap when the leaked files were endangering troops. But they leapt into action when the leaks were embarrassing to them.
