I think the chief justice was trying to LOOK like he was doing something.
Remember the FL SC came up with the rocket docket in order to reduce the forclosure dockets by 60%!! (but its not a quota...really...he means it)
Unless the litigants bring their court reporters to the courtroom (this is civil not criminal) judges are free to abuse law and people.
