Republicans have a problem. The most-talked-about figure in the GOP is a reality show star who cannot be elected. And yet the same leaders who fret that Sarah Palin could devastate their party in 2012 are too scared to say in public what they all complain about in private.
Enough. Its time for the GOP to man up.

Stop Sarah PING!!!
Palin is for some reason unelectable... and yet McCain was our ticket to victory! lol
These people are idiots.
But garbage comes so naturally for Joe. Palin was mocking Reagan? On whose planet did that happen?
Unfortunately, the 2012 primaries could come down to conservatives splitting their votes among three or four candidates and the moderate/liberal wing consolidating around Romney and pushing him to the nomination. It's happened before...
What a rude article.
He’s the “Republican” who had a dead intern in his office. He’s also the “Republican” who joined the far Left in blaming Bush for all the incompetence of State and local Democrat officials during Katrina. Yes, we should listen to Joe!
Joe has moved over into the “Darkside” with the rest of the loonies at MSNBC.
Sad , I thought he would be alright.
Joe who?
The primary will be ugly. And the question will be...can the GOP get behind one candidate? There are Republicans that do not like Sarah Palin. Just like there are Republicans that do not like Mitt Romney. You can’t make everyone happy.
If the GOP tears itself apart in the primaries, then we get ourselves a 2nd Obama term.
That would have to be the (inaccurate) claim that Palin mocked Reagan for being an actor. Of course, you have to take her words 180* out of context to come to that conclusion but it is really all they have left.
If the liberals and RINOs want to start (really, when did they ever stop?) criticizing Palin they had better get going. She is already on the track, fully warmed up and running at full throttle. This notion that she may be contemplating a run for the White House is baloney. She has been running since the day she left the governor’s mansion.
One last thing. The previews for next week’s SPA have her caribou hunting with her Dad. The chances of the two of them not bagging one are about the same as Michael Jordan missing a lay up. Wait for the howls of protest from the looney left animal rights activists - which will be followed by yet another ninja throwing star from Palin.
I love Day by Day.
This is exactly what happened in '64 (yes, I'm old enough to remember that), and I fear it has more than an even chance of being repeated in '12. If it does, the result will be the same. Palin, or whoever the 'Pub nominee is, will get clobbered by over 20 percentage points. Then get ready for Obama's Great Society II, only this one will be even more race-based than the first one, which was such an utter disaster that we're still paying the price today, over two generations later.
Joe wants a safe candidate we can all get behind like McCain or Dole.
Pray for America
Obam will lose most of these swing states he won in 2008 in next election. The Kenyan is toast and a primary fight will not turn any 2008 red states blue.
