Scarborough made his astonishing claim on today's Morning Joe in the context of commenting on his latest anti-Palin piece in today's Politico. This is far from the first time that Joe has taken shots at Palin. As I've reported, he has blamed the former Alaska governor for the GOP's failure to win the Senate, and claimed that Palin knows she can't win the presidency but is in it for the money.
Today's Politico piece takes Scarborough’s swipes a quantum leap further [see examples after jump]. But what makes this morning’s diatribe truly remarkable is Joe's repeated claim that "all" Republican leaders and conservative talk radio hosts with whom he's spoken have—off the record—agreed with his criticism of Palin.

I just watched that. It was truly disgusting, especially Mika’s condescension. Since they kept mocking the fact that Palin only served half a term as Governor, why couldn’t Shadegg respond with the fact that the current president only served half a term as Senator??? Please, many, many people believe Palin is more intellectually qualified than Obama, and not one person alluded to that. What in the heck happened to Pat Buchanan—has he been so co-opted he can’t stick up for conservatives now and then?

I hope that Wikileaks gets hold of internal documents from the media. I would love to see that world of lies and double-dealing exposed. I can think of only a few “conservatives” in the media who are actual conservatives. I think many “conservatives” in the media probably vote Democrat.

Clearly Scarborough has some kind of irrational personal animus against Sarah Palin. While her endorsement of O’Donnell was clearly ill-advised, Palin did not lose us the Senate.
She's ‘in it’ ??? She is not 'in' anything right now, nor is anyone else except Obama.
Not taking the Senate by 1-2 seats is a blessing to Republicans. Obama is in a weaker political position for it.
