It's clear that we can't go 24 hours without Sarah Palin saying something so stupid that it defies logic, but leave it to the Kim Kardashian of politics to find something wrong with first lady Michelle Obama's effort to curb obesity in America's kids.
In a radio interview on Wednesday with conservative talker Laura Ingraham, Palin took dead aim at the first lady's "Let's Move" initiative, which is all about getting children active and involved in exercise and healthy eating.

You know without even reading the article that the writer takes issue with a statement by Palin to the effect that we don’t need government in our lives telling us what to eat or when to exercise, that it’s a matter of personal responsibility.
And of course that would be right, and that’s what infuriates these libs so much. Twist the story however they will, anyone with a brain understands her point. Which excludes many libs and journalists.
Make that the lobster-eating, kobe beef eating, ice cream cone eating .. first lady... (questionable on the lady and on the first).
Funny... look at Sarah Palin, her kids and family vs look at Michelle Obama, her kids and family to see who know more about keeping fit, eating right and not being overweight
Let’s take a look at Sarah’s kids. None of the kids are afraid of a little hard work or getting their hands dirty. Bristol just exercised much more than MO ever thought about on DWTS. Track was in the military and is now, according to tonight’s show, is taking over his dad’s fishing business. I don’t recall Hussein being in the military and I don’t see MO breaking a nail, much less a sweat, in that garden of hers.
Fixed it. ;-p
That big, fat cow makes 2 of Sarah Palin.
With five different choices of pies for Thanksgiving.
What is wrong with a first lady alerting us to the importance of US urging our schools to provide better meals for OUR children? What is wrong with trying to interest children and families in growing their own gardens? Also, how will we maintain a viable military if so many potential recruits are fat and out of condition?
L-R: Not Guilty, Not Guilty, GUILTY!!!
My family was in AK for the first 15 years of marriage and it was the outback plan. All of the kids are still strong (7) and my Mom got to get fresh goods twice a year via rail. Michelle Obama has not a clue on a life you live vs blaming people for a life you get. I am the youngest. This admin is a joke and they are America’s victim Presidency.
Different photo op but just the same, she's not DOING any actual work, here she's bossing the kids to lift the wheelbarrow while she's taking the credit for growing and picking the sweet potatoes.
Forgot to comment on the wheelbarrow picture. Notice Michelle Obama wearing work gloves while not actually doing any work, while she has the 2 kids who ARE doing the work and they aren’t given gloves to wear. In her mind I guess it is, “They are 2 future migrant workers, so they might as well get used to poor working conditions now”.
She could get on a team of four and pitch 2000 bales of a hay in a couple of days. Or not. The Obama’s are weak. Period
the media is trying to justify fascism, all for our own good
Nobody cares if the First Lady goes on a “raising awareness” frenzy.
But she won’t stop there...she wants to expand the federal role into the local school districts. No conservative should embrace her approach. She wants a top down Dept. of Education, and these programs will help promote centralized power at the expense of local control.
She is requesting funding...which comes with strings attached. Beware socialists bearing gifts.
Maybe Roland Martin should focus on our surgeon general: she’s a fattie.
That could be difficult, if S. 510 is passed.
As for getting kids fit for the military, reintroduction of recess and phys ed into those schools that do not have it would be a good start.
