Not sure what the problem is either, but it's misbehavior is fairly consistent.
Any time I click on a link, I get this error back:
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.
If I click the re-load button on my browser (Firefox) after I receive that error, the link I initially clicked on loads.
It happens every time without fail on my end. Hope that's information that John can use....

I would do the standard things, check memory and check disk usage. See if there are an abnormal number of processes, look at I/0 wait averages, check the unix and webserver logs for error messages.
If all else fails, reboot!

DHS grabbed a bunch of websites the last 72 hours without due process. We are not immune.
Still uninterested in the Free Republic peer-to-peer concept? It might save our a&&. I’m building a backbone anyways, but per your instruction, I’m not going to affiliate with FR — unless you change your mind.
These are perilous, 1932-style times. We should be prepared.
