I flew about 130,000 miles last year. (Thankfully far fewer this year, will finish with about 28,000 miles.)
That being said I found many adults to be more annoying than most kids. The worst offenders were those who fly a lot and have a sense of entitlement on the airlines.
Define child.
if they mean under 8, then I understand. too many people don’t discipline their kids these days. I don’t want to be near them.
Kids aren’t the problem,it’s their parents.Frankly speaking,I’m waiting for the airlines that lets my dog sit next to me ,in a paid seat. That will eliminate a certain group from flying on that airlines.Snarl.
The worst flight I remember was a red eye from Salt Lake to Atlanta. This was right after they put those game consoles in the back of the head rests. The woman behind me kept punching my headrest with her stylus or pen or something. Bang bang bang, tap tap tap - finally I turned around and said PLEASE STOP!
Headphones.
I can understand this even so I have a toddler. His first flight was last month and he screamed the entire time. I felt awful for the other passengers.

Did you at least fly coach??
;)
Took my little 1+ year old guy back and forth from Hawaii in his jammies and he was good and slept half the way.
I had toys, treats and took him on a walk through the plane a couple of times.
