(Nov. 26) -- A 78-year-old Navy veteran and retired New York Police Department cop has been arrested for allegedly threatening to kill President Barack Obama "for what he has done to this country."

Michael Stephen Bowden, who now lives in South Carolina, told a nurse during a routine medical exam at a Veterans Administration clinic on Nov. 16 that he "was thinking of traveling to Washington, D.C., to shoot the president because he was not doing enough to help African-Americans,"

Humphhhhh, but it looks like he fits the profile of a home grown terrorist per Homeland Security Napolitano. Looks like the Secret Service clipped it at the bud. Lucky it was caught in time. ;o) Now all they have to do is find a place for about 100,000+ thousand guys like him who think as he does. I'm sure some would take this case seriously but, how many times do you hear the same thing from older guys like him?

This story is so convoluted. I also read where his 40 something son who lives at home was arguing that this was a play for attention.

Of course this is a play for attention. Federal prison might be better than being at home with his no load family.

I have heard of plenty of vets who don’t think they are getting enough attention at the VA. Come on people its government health care, they don’t say hi and they don’t give out suckers.

I was at the local diner. There was a Vet at the counter. A war hero. He said that now he'd rather go to jail than fight. He said when he came back, he looked at people and thought to himself "I fought for your Freedom". He felt so proud. Now, he looks at people and doesn't see them as worth fighting for. He'd rather go to jail because the people he fought for let this Country go to waste. All I could do is thank him for allowing me to experience the Freedom he fought for.

He also said he wanted to kill himself.

As the story itself states, an elderly suicidal retired cop who wants even more free stuff from Obama's stash only for American Blacks, spoke about his violent thoughts.

Stated differently, a socialist and a racialist who is decided on self-destruction while under nursing care, admitted to thinking of a violent threat.

This is not by any stretch, a garden variety Tea Party person.

The Main Stream Media "news" attempting to paint him as a Tea Party person is in itself, laughable.
