We are here 24(mostly)/7/365 to provide a place for our military to stop in, pull up a chair, enjoy a joke, hear a song (requests taken), read some history, enjoy a cyber meal (no calories), hear about our families lives, join in the silliness, and just relax.

All who honor our troops, veterans, their families, and our allies are welcome to join in the every day honoring. We have serving troops, veterans, family members, allies, and those who just wish to help honor them here every day.

Politics is kept to a bare minimum, as there are plenty of threads on FR to choose from, and we are family friendly.

Remembering Our Troops and Veterans!

Once again the nurture of the thread is warmly felt. I am so involved in the harsh political environment mostly through http://antimullah.com that your thread is coming in from the cold to a warm home.

I too strongly support the efforts of our troops and real Freepers but can only offer a graphic here or there (some borrowed from Potlatch with her permission) and perhaps with my lack of political correctness, find/post articles, often via AntiMullah.com openly saying what they might like to say but are restricted by rules and regulations.

Thus venting for them.

Anyway, sincere best wishes for their safety and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in advance to all.

Didn’t have turkey this year Kathy. Roasted the small end of a pork tenderloin instead. Yes we had a great day. Hope you did also.

Saw about a hundred turkeys just at deep dusk this evening. They were making their way back to roost after being run out of the brush during a fire. Too dark for my camera.
Everything will be ok, just a long night ahead for the fire crews.
