It is the leaving my house part that bothers me. I have had more than one connection to drunk driving fatalities, so I am rather hypersensitve about it.
True story: back in the late '70s in Alabama a young man, Stewart Hartford, was intrumental in lobbying and getting passed a law which lowered the drinking age to 18. How wonderful things were! (/sarcasm) He died a few years later, killed in an automobile accident caused by a ± 19-year old drunk driver.
The legal drinking age in Alabama now is 21.
