I understand that. I'm sorry that you've experienced those deaths. There must be a lot of frustration and anger along with the mourning with that time.

True story: back in the late '70s in Alabama a young man, Stewart Hartford, was intrumental in lobbying and getting passed a law which lowered the drinking age to 18. How wonderful things were! (/sarcasm) He died a few years later, killed in an automobile accident caused by a ± 19-year old drunk driver.

The legal drinking age in Alabama now is 21.

Oh my! I never knew that. From what I understand, the age limit increase does not stop them anyway.

It was 19 when I was at Auburn. Mr. del still talks about the beer reps coming to his frat with free kegs. Now the frats just make sure they drink off campus.
