President Obama is "outraged" by North Korea's attack on a South Korean island, White House deputy press secretary Bill Burton said Tuesday.

Obama plans to call South Korea's president, Lee Myung-bak, on Tuesday, Burton said, adding that Tom Donilon, his national security adviser, called Obama at 3:55 a.m. to tell him of the attack.

"The president is outraged by this action," he told reporters on Air Force One. "We stand shoulder to shoulder with South Korea."

So let me get this straight: N. Korea attacks a S. Korean island after having torpedoed a S. Korean vessel, and after a missile launch (quite likely Chinese) off the Cal. Coast.

Meanwhile in the US: the TSA profiles Americans as terrorists, Barry seeks nuclear disarmament with Russia, and calls Republicans “the enemy”.

It's a little bit of a semantic difference. While we have almost no troops physically at the border, we still have the Eighth Army still there, and I think that's a better than division-sized element. How much is that costing us each year?

If SK wants US protection, then SK had better start opening their markets to US manufacturers. How many Hundais do you see here? How many Fords do you see there?

I jumped on this because I thought Obama was bad mouthing Lee over his attack at Gettysburg.I thought it a little late for Obama to be concerned over this.
