"keeping US troops on their border"

It's a little bit of a semantic difference. While we have almost no troops physically at the border, we still have the Eighth Army still there, and I think that's a better than division-sized element. How much is that costing us each year?

If SK wants US protection, then SK had better start opening their markets to US manufacturers. How many Hundais do you see here? How many Fords do you see there?

Our troops who were getting shot at frequently would think the difference is a little more than semantic.

So, an Army is typically 2-3 divisions. What do we do, platoon divisions with one on duty for a tour while the other stands down?
