Sounds like a job for the South Koreans. Pass the turkey please.

LOL! Exactly. They've been complaining about us lately, well it's time to buck up or shut up.

"There is no greater act of war then sinking a ship, South Korea didnt seem to care too much about that."

I agree. NK should have been flattened over that.

Now what? Nothing again?

I’m still wondering about that “missile” that took off near the coast of California.

"ROK lack of a forceful response to their warship being sunk has led to this."

Exactly. The NK navy should have all been sunk.

Isn't this the very definition of WAR?

In a secure world, it generally is. But, this is a world where when a cult kills anywhere from 20 to 30 per day, day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year, and century after century (Religion of Peace), and little is really done about it.

I think I would consider heading south for a while.

There will be no South Korean retaliation for this because South Korean is only threatening retaliation now if there is an “additional” escalation.

In other words, as long as NK doesn’t do anything else, they are off the hook.

Same message that came out after the Cheonan sinking.

Nothing more will happen, believe me.

Some NK general shorted the Hang Seng again.

That's probably as a good an explanation as any. Strongly worded response from SK and a few less bags of rice in the aid package for a few months is probably the outcome.

The only thing South Korea is going to do is consider a UN condemnation :

SEOUL, Nov. 23 (Yonhap) — South Korea will consider whether it should push the United Nations to condemn North Korea for firing artillery across their Yellow Sea border and killing at least one soldier, a foreign ministry official said Tuesday.

Move along. Nothing to see...

Sadly, you’re right. They just don’t have the balls. The NKs have been getting away with provocations for over 50 years...not this bad, but theyve been getting away with it. They’ll get away with it this time, too. As much as Obama is to blame, the SK side could put a stop to it if they wanted, but they never do. And the populace doesn’t seem much to care...now if an American military vehicle hit some Korean jaywalker, watch out, Seoul would be in riot status...but 60-70 homes wiped out on some pissant island? Who cares...

Reading that, I’m confident nothing is going to happen. North Korea just burned down a village, injured some soldiers, and killed one. Their solution is to ask for a UN condemnation which is absolutely useless.

Pathetic cringeworthy response thus far.

They are basically saying ‘If you keep hitting me, I’m going to hit you back’.

Only they’ve been hitting them for decades you morons!

The North should be bombed, heavily....what a pathetic world we live in where bullies are allowed to murder as they please with no repercussions whatsoever.

Russia’s foreign ministry says: “It is important that this does not lead to an aggravation of the situation on the Korean peninsula”, Russia’s Interfax news agency reports.

EXACTLY the kind of heartless language you’d expect from the Russians.

More interested in avoiding ‘aggravation’ with no anger at this cold blooded murder by these monsters.

"A Class-A military alert issued for battle situations was imposed immediately after shelling began," a military spokesman said.

What's it take for them to declare war?

Oh no. They are only considering asking for a UN condemnation. They might not even do that because (a) it could backfire if China/Russia veto it and (b) they are actually probabaly afraid that even a UN statement might upset NK into another escalation.

Rumor doing the rounds that North Korea’s leader Kim Jung Il has passed away. It’s only a rumor. Take it for what you will.
