I also am inclined to think that cheating is a distinct possibility. Likely a probability. Reneging on her word not to contest the primary results is also a glaring example of the untrustworthiness of Lisa Murkowski. I have no faith in the primary elections which the GOP has let slide into an exercise in futility for the opponent of their chosen candidate. The primary process is flawed and abused and unless repaired before the next elections there will be more Delaware, Florida, and Alaska controversies which will be advantageous to the RAT candidates. Business as usual for political pols is just not going to cut it with conservative voters any longer.

It’s perfect and FITS right in with JOE. He’s a bigger better man than some claim he is.

His strength of character is clearly visible - he will fight for truth in spite of ridicule! Ridicule is a tactic used to stop truth!

GO JOE! Shed the light on evil!

Sorry...even though I wanted Miller to win, he didn’t. As much as I detest the woman, a voter should not have a ballot discarded just because the write-in name may be “Murkowsky” or some such.

I want to win, but not by Gore-in-Florida2000 tactics.

There is a cold dark orb of evil floating around, it craves power through fear, intimidation and cowardliness.

Remind me of "Heavy Metal" (1981).

The AK republican party is corrupt and clearly was engineering the election for Murk. Not only did the party chair give the weakest endorsement I’ve heard, but the local “conservative” talk radio guys really showed their true allegiance, the party instead of their listeners. None of the local establishment is committed to any ideals beyond power, status, money and the perpetuation of the present power structure. Miller went from being absolutely unknown to within striking distance of the senate in the space of a few months-hardly the accomplishment of a weak candidate.
The suit should move forward. I would especially like to see the difference between the totals as tabulated by the voting machines vs. a hand count of all ballots. The machines give no feedback as to whether a vote was tabulated, only if you double marked a ballot does it spit it back. How many voters “x”’d the oval or didn’t fill it in all the way?

Funny you mention that, the first time I ever saw it uncut was at a motel in Fairbanks in March of 1992. My first night there after a week long journey from Lake Tahoe, Ca.

Thats probably where I picked it up!

Murky and her ilk have been defrauding the people of Alaska for years. Having an R next to a name is not an absolution for crimes!

If you back a crook, then you are complicit in their crimes. If you condone such crookedness then you deserve the bitter fruits of your low moral standard.

“On what grounds?”

Affidavits by voters of potential ballot box stuffing, write-ins that all looked to be of the same handwriting (related to the first), unsecured ballot boxes/containers (also related), plus:

**others where there is 100% voter turnout

**and still other precincts where the ballots were sent to the Division of Elections presorted by U.S. Senate candidate.”

**Voter intent not being applied to Miller votes, but only to murky write-in votes.

‘Miller should challenge not just the 8,159 he already has for spelling and handwriting mistakes, but the entire write-in vote procedure.’

“On what grounds?”
++++++++++++++++++++

http://joemiller.us/2010/11/miller-campaign-complies-with-federal-court-order-and-files-suit-in-state-court/
“Campaign Chief Counsel, Thomas Van Flein, further noted that “we have also raised substantive and procedural concerns arising out of the state’s creation of a new voting regulation that was never publicized, never vetted for public input, and completely lacked an enabling statute. Under the state Administrative Procedure Act, the regulation should be declared invalid, and that is what the Complaint is seeking.”

But he added two new allegations. He said that in unnamed precincts, voters may have been allowed to take ballots even if they didn't have identification or weren't personally known to election officials. As evidence, he said, ballot rolls in some precincts failed to indicate whether the election official had asked for identification.

And he said that "in several precincts," handwriting samples indicate that the same person or a small group of people wrote in names on multiple ballots. He said that would be a violation of a requirement that a voter personally pen the name of a write-in candidate.

Back in the day, before FR's new and improved software came into being, someone who had hijacked my screen name sometimes forgot to turn off her tags and entire threads were shown in italics until someone came to the rescue. Not I, of course.

Besides, your post was right on target..:-)

“if a hand written ballot reads Murkowski, Merkowski, or Murcowski, it was for the RINO.”

This is FAR from the only issue in this race - you know that right?

“Joe is fighting to build a cleaner Alaska, and the old sourdough political establishment doesn’t want any of that, they remember when Sarah Palin went hunting for corruption.”

Right. This is very similar to the fight nationally against the Republican old guard establishment professional politicos. It will take this measure of vigilance times 10.

All races have issues otherwise it does not matter who one votes for.

what other issues are involved in actual winning or losing of this race???

“The sad part, and the part we should all remember, is that the RNC asked Joe Miller to ‘gracefully concede’ yet when MurCOWski lost the primary, no such directive was issued to her. That tells you where their loyalties lie: not with the voters and their choices, that’s for sure.”

But, but, Lying Lisa assures us that she’s concerned that all the votes count and that voters aren’t ‘disenfranchised.’

Can we NOT believe Lying Lisa? Smirk...
