NEW YORK (AFP) Hollywood heartthrob Leonardo DiCaprio, star of "Titanic," was among passengers on a Delta Airline jet forced to make an emergency landing in New York after losing one engine, a report said Monday.
DiCaprio, 36, "avoided disaster at 30,000 feet," UsMagazine.com reported.
The plane, bound for Moscow, had to return to John F. Kennedy airport shortly after take-off Sunday when an engine suddenly shut down.

You guys are always so funny. Focus. This thread is about Leonardo. hehehe
You know what’s funny? I’m the only one on the planet who actually enjoyed seeing Titanic, an I only saw it once, and yet it made money. I honestly didn’t pay THAT much for my ticket! ;)
Wait — this is a news story because that twerp was on board?
What a waste of Internet.
HOWEVER, this fine young lass serves proudly and is ALSO a supermodel (from what I understand, although have no personal information to confirm)....
And no, I don't know how a thread about Leonardo Decrapio migrated to Esti Ginzburg (sp?)
I am with you. This story was written horribly.
I saved a lot of time by watching this version.
A few decades back, 4-engine jets like Boeing 707s were the norm. Once, a 707 bound from New York to LA lost one of the four engines. The captain said to the passengers over the PA system: "Ladies and gentlemen, we have lost one of our engines. There is no cause for concern, as the plane is still quite airworthy with three engines. However, this will cause airspeed to be slightly reduced, so we'll be 45 minutes late arriving in LA."
The passengers showed little concern.
An hour later, a second engine failed. The captain assured the passengers that there was no problem, but that they would now be two hours late.
Some passengers muttered their frustration.
An hour later, a third engine failed. Again, the captain attempted to put the passengers at ease, but said that the arrival would now be three hours late.
One passenger turned to another and exclaimed: "If that fourth engine goes out, we'll be up here all day."
At least he likes girls.
“Enough is ENOUGH! I have had it with these motherf***in’ over-rated actors on this motherf***in’ plane! Everybody strap in! I’m about to open some f***in’ windows. “
Ok. I’ll admit he was good in that..
I assume this was not a private aircraft because the environment is so important to him so why do we only care about him and not the other dozens or hundreds of passengers?
Did TSA grope him or did he get special treatment?
Mean! I don’t really care for him, but...
I bought the DVD when it first came out.
I’ll get around to watching it one of these days.
He dies at the end. There, I just saved you three hours of your life you never would have gotten back. You can thank me later.
Not long enough to hear the song. :(
- snicker -
Spielberg may have had something to do with that - he can make people look good.
I wonder if “important people” like DiCrappio have to go through TSA screening, or are they exempt? I’m sure there are plenty of TSA agents who would enjoy groping him.
LOL!
