"Ms. Bradshaw spent her early childhood in the remote hills and dusty towns and villages of Iran, Pakistan, and Libya"
(From her own bio @ http://ieet.org/index.php/IEET/bio/bradshaw/)
There's a war going on. The Israelis understand.

A leftist prof who spent her early childhood “in the remote hills and dusty towns and villages of Iran, Pakistan, and Libya.”

No wonder the alarm bells went off.

Unlike many FReepers, who are complaining about pat-downs without strip searches, you mean?

And I'm unclear on why they've let her in multiple times in the past without a hassle...are you saying that the war is new?

El Al has apologized and is conducting an internal investigation, and Hebrew University is complaining, so I guess they don't understand that war thing.

I don’t think that’s the same Heather Bradshaw that was searched by El Al. It appears to be a case of mistaken identity.

It sounds like they were profiling.

Good.
