Airline apologizes after strip-searching US professor

TEL AVIV, Israel (Ma'an) -- Israel's national airline El Al on Monday apologized to a visiting professor strip-searched on her way to conference in Jerusalem, an Israeli newspaper reported.
Heather Bradshaw, a neuroscientist, was travelling from the UK to Israel at the invitation of Hebrew University when she was subjected a physical examination in which she was asked to remove her bra.
She told the Israeli daily Haaretz that El Al security personnel detained her at Luton airport in London on 31 October, confiscated all of her belongings, and repeatedly questioned her. After nearly an hour of examinations, she was reportedly reprimanded for holding up the flight.

Sheeesh, at least read your own posts. Israel is not one of the 57 US states and last I heard, it had not been annexed by the UK either.

This is not the TSA. I know. I'm told the TSA is going for kids and prosthetic breasts, and I agree with my fellow FReepers who say we should adopt the El Al model and go for real breasts.

The TSA does not operate in Israel. I know. I've been told the TSA is out of control and has to be more like El Al. See #8.

Payback, guys.
The TSA has become the laughing stock of the world, but the international travelers also have to submit to it, and I am sure there have been a number of Israelis and Europeans who have had to go through it. This is their way of expressing themselves.
