G*D is working...!
NRO is becoming more and more irrelevant with articles like this you might as well jump in with the marxist media...
Then both will get experience to broaden their knowledge, by the benefit of being in offices.
I feel the same way. Will all this celebrity actually translate at the polls? I'm beginning to think she will be more useful to conservatism as a William F. Buckley, steering the debate rather than running for office. I'd personally be more comfortable with a candidate who had spent more time in office and didn't drop out of her last elected job.
Yet another chapter in Geraghty’s attempt to do what to Palin what he did to O’Donnell in the Delaware general election. Damn with faint praise and slip the knife in deep. NRO is rapidly becoming National RINO Online.
My biggest worry is that there will be too many conservatives in the GOP Primary.
They’ll split the vote and we’ll end up with a McCain or Romney-like RINO, and then four more years of Obama...
Well said.
National Romney Online?
I have no problem with Sarah running, however, I would like to see her in a serious debate with Mike Pence. I like them both.
Chris Christie endorsed Mike Castle. He lost all credibility as a serious conservative when he did that.
Well, that is the latest media narrative.
Look, any real conservative will be derided as a dunce and unelectable by the establishment and elite media (see: Reagan, Quayle, Palin)
Sarah Palin is our only hope of a real conservative nominee. If we split our votes among three or four conservatives, a RINO establishment guy like Romney will get the nomination.
This why you have statements and article after article from the inside the beltway crowd pounding the “unelectable” and “polarizing” themes.
Don’t fall for it.
That’s the most likely scenario.
Plus the primary schedule favors the RINO. And don’t forget liberals that will be more than happy to vote in the open primary states looking to sabotage the GOP primary.
A seeming approval piece on Palin couched with subtle digs at her in the same breath. NRO Jim, let me tell you what my ‘thoughts’ are. I don’t give a rat’s damn about what you think. I don’t care how you filter what you hear about her. I don’t give a crap whether she’s still governor or not. I just damn don’t care. Get this in your head. If she declares, she’s got the support she needs - from me and millions like me, sucker. Stop your subterfuge and get with the program if you have any conservatism. If you don’t then frack you. This isn’t your father’s Democrat government anymore.
But a lot of conservatives are not eager for a Palin candidacy. Just a fact. Maybe she could win them over, maybe not.
And resigning the governorship was unhelpful if the goal was to build Palin's case for the presidency - at least according to conventional political thought. Defying convention is possible, but it's not lot of fun playing against a stacked deck.
It isn’t fair to stop anyone from running.
Chris Christie endorsed Mike Castle. And I have yet to see any indication of where he stands on abortion or family.
He is good on budgetary matters, apparently, although we won’t know for sure unless he wins the battles with the public unions. Certainly he talks very well, but then so did Newt Gingrich. It’s a bit soon to see whether he walks the walk.
Sarah had already cut the Alaskan state budget this early in her term as governor. As far as I know, Christie has not. I like the guy, but I like him as governor of NJ, not as a presidential candidate.
On another note, Helen Thomas will win Miss America next year.
Christie talks tough, but his positions would only be considered conservative in NJ or other blue states.
IMO the Christie for President boomlet won’t last any longer than Rudy leading the polls in ‘07 or Scott Brown’s short-lived turn as a national GOP darling earlier this year.
