Clinton would avoid 'pat down'
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says she'd avoid a security pat down at an airport if she could.
Asked in the closing moments of an interview airing Sunday on CBS's "Face the Nation" if she would submit to "one of these pat-downs" that has caused a national outcry among travelers, Clinton replied, "Not if I, not if I could avoid it."
"No, I mean who would?," she said with a chuckle.
The nation's top diplomat said while there's a need for some of the Transportation Security Administration's screening policies, there may be a way to "limit the number of people who are going to be put through surveillance."
"That's something that I'm sure can be considered," Clinton said. "But everybody is trying to do the right thing. I understand how difficult it is and how offensive it must be for the people who are going through it."
Earlier on CNN's "State of the Union," TSA chief John Pistole said the current screening techniques were needed and would not be changed.
“TSA chief John Pistole can piss off. I hope every single American overloads the courts with lawsuits.”
That’s just a boondoggle for lawyers. The courts are as broken as everything else, loaded with Marxists and fools like Kagan, the wise latina, and Ginzburg. No remedy there.

OH YEAH! She’s running in 2012. She’s laying the groundwork now.
Like the TSA is going to try and grope a former first lady. Hillary and her husband are exempt from this type of abuse.
But she said the right thing. Maybe there is hope that even this administration can learn a thing or two.
Can the House doing ANYTHING about TSA Pistole????
I’m willing to bet that she’s gearing up for a primary race against 0buma. Even Dems know that he is weak and will lose them the White House.
She has several great points of attack and this is one of them. It would not surprise me to see critical remarks from HC increasing in weeks to come.
I’m no political strategist (which should be obvious), but if I were a Republican considering a candidacy for 2012 I *might* consider focusing the structure of my strategy against Clinton rather than the 0bum.

And they are exempt from Zerocare. Wonder if America is getting the picture, yet.
Yes, these arrogant elitists make me ill. What condescending crap!
That makes me sick to my stomach!
HOW can she distance herself? She IS the administration.
Well, MAYBE she is speaking for the administration. This is a hot potato.
I’ve seen that Muslims won’t “permit” some things (pat down of females), but haven’t seen anything from the TSA exempting them from anything.
Have you? Please post links if you have. Thanks...
For thee, not for me.....
VERY HOT and I hope the “right ones” get burnt in the end.
Barry, the worst terrorist against America - rides in our plane laughing his butt off.
I first realized how utterly absurd our so-called security measures are when the Oklahoma city federal building was blown up and soon afterward a huge metal fence was built around our local federal building and guard stations with metal detectors were put in. All this was a reaction to what supposedly was a truck bomb on the street outside a federal building. All the measures taken would have absolutely no effect if someone did the same thing here. It did provide some work for contractors though, as well as permanent jobs for security people. What a total waste of money.
BS
They're not concerned with *doing the "right" thing*. They're concerned with figuring out how to control the sheeple.
I understand how difficult it is and how offensive it must be for the people who are going through it."
You don't have a clue.....
What concerns me is that this follows a pattern we've seen. The government tries to push too hard in some area concerning our freedom. There's a huge public outcry and they back off some. But they've still gained ground because now people are happy that it isn't as bad as it was, although it's still worse than we want it or it initially was.
They are desensitizing us this way.
They don't give us what we want (which is profiliing and minimal screening), they give us what we're willing to settle for (OK, no groping genitals, but patting down extremities ..... for now) because it isn't as bad as it was.
The problem is, it only delays what they're working for some, but they're willing to wait. They'll get those body scanners and gropes eventually, once people are used to a less invasive search. They can afford to wait.
