Boehnor travels with a Capitol Hill Police security detail, they routinely by-pass security at any airport they fly out of.

NY Times knows this, all media knows this.

Yes, NY Slimes doing what it does best: sliming a Republican. They could have followed any Democrat Senator to the airport, but that wouldn’t have served their purpose.

I suppose they are struggling to expose duplicity...or even worse hypocrisy. That’ll only happen if Boehner comes out in favor of the status quo.

This is an outrage. What applies to the tax payer should apply to everyone. Start giving these dolts the treatment us “little people” get and things would change in a heartbeat. The reason that jackass has a security detail is because we pay for it. This double standard has got to change.

He will be given the Oath of Office if Zero and Veep Bite-me blow each others brains out in January, but the Grey Lady thinks he should go through the junk fondle just like everyone else?

In that case Zero should be frisked, too.

Michael Steel, a spokesman for the Republican leader, said in a statement that Mr. Boehner was not receiving special treatment. And a law enforcement official said that any member of Congress or administration official with a security detail is allowed to bypass security.

The depths of special interest and political entitlement delusion are breathtaking.

That they can justify it and deny what is blatantly obvious to anyone with an IQ above that of an ice cube, ........

Well, he COULD do like Pelosi did and charge the American Taxpayer 28,000 dollars - one way - per week to visit home, and to fly her friends and family around.

I think third-in-line for the Presidency deserves some special security and consideration, and I don't give a damn what the NYT thinks or says...they're the American PRAVDA anyway...in bed, and under the covers with obama.

Keep you eyes on the Ball folks - the issue isn’t about what happens or doesn’t happen to Representative John A. Boehner when he flies,
IT IS ABOUT WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU, AVERAGE JOE CITIZEN who is supposed to be protected by the legal dictates of the Federal Constitution, which every federal elected official swears to Uphold and Defend!

Know they enemy, and then kill them (politically speaking, of course)

I think “Don’t Tread On My Privates” is a good T-shirt candidate.

Makes perfect sense.

TSA is part of the federal EXECUTIVE branch.

Due to the 3 equal branches of gov, Executive branch cannot search, force to testify, or in any other way FORCE the other two branches to do ANYTHING

One thing I can say, after reading thru this thread. The NYTimes knows what they are doing. Their propaganda works, as usual.

The problem isn't that Boehner gets a pass. The problem is that the rest of us don't.

I'm happy for Boehner and for every other person who isn't treated like a head of livestock by the TSA.

Article I, Section 6, Clause 1, of the U.S. Constitution
Senators and Representatives Compensation and legal protection states:

They shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach
of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their
Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses,
and in going to and returning from the same; and for
any Speech or Debate in either House, they shall not be
questioned in any other Place.

Stupid New York Times!
To do so would be illegal.
