If there is some truth in this, then Sarah needs to be more careful.
On the other hand, this could just be another attempt to smear her.

Did Alan Keyes legally change his name to Allen Keyes?
Is this indicative of the accuracy I can expect from the rest of the article?

This is one of the reasons why Keyes has so far been unelectable. Is is something of a loose cannon. I don’t believe Sarah Palin has made any serious missteps. As much as I respect his patriotism and pro-life credentials, Keyes should have been more specific if he had something serious to say about Gov. Palin.

Any criticism Palin gets from Keyes will only make her look more credible.

On the other hand, this could just be another attempt to smear her. Say it ain't so. Not Keyes...../s.
Yet the telltale flaw in Palin's supposedly conservative credentials is a proven penchant for relying on advisers who mislead her into decisions that are anything but conservative. I have thoroughly analyzed the results in a number of articles you can read at my blog, Loyal to Liberty ― Palin drops the other shoe," "Sarah Palin -- personally pro-life, but
?" "Is Palin's lead a pitfall for the pro-life cause?" "Why is Palin raising McCain?" and "Palin's choice: An afterword."

I really dont want to hear for Keyes on who is or isnt a real conservative.
A real conservative does not move to a different state to run for a Senate seat. And on top of that he lost to Obama.
So thanks for that.

Back when; when we had 'Keyesters' running rampant on FR, it was pure hell.
Hell to the point that a lot of us felt lke we had to 'shower' after debating the 'Keyesters' til they were gone.

You’ll notice that Palin doesn’t spend even one minute of her day attacking fellow Republicans or fellow conservatives. Not even in self-defense. She keeps her focus on Obama and the Obamists.

I read the whole article, and both Alan Keyes and his brother Allen Keyes, are very verbose. Well written, but by the time you get to the end, you forgot why you started to read it.
A Keyes trait is that he will always say in 10 words what could have been said in one.
I like him, but he has always been impressed with his own intelligence, kinda like a black conservative Gore Vidal.

[ Keyes tries to make the argument that Palin is being led astray by some of her advisors. ]
Could be true.. after all she still stinks of Juan McLame..
She should be careful about whos bowels she rubs up against..
No doubt many would try to influence her..
She should (and probably does) know all this..
Prayer might be advisable for her..

I love to hear Alan Keyes speak. I would never vote for him because he is so unstable, but I love to hear him speak.
Stand aside Alan. Sarah will show you how to kick Obama’s a$$ ... something you couldn't come close to doing.

I use to have a lot of respect for Alan Keyes but during the presidential debates in 2008 he really turned me off with his holier than you statements. I think he's gone over the edge.

And if Palin were to start taking Dr. Keyes’s advice, she’d become part of the 1%-popularity wacko fringe too.

A little bit of history. The 2004 United States Senate election in Illinois was held on November 2, 2004. Incumbent Republican U.S. Senator Peter Fitzgerald decided to retire after one term. The Democratic and Republican primary elections were held in March, which included a total of 15 candidates who combined to spend a record total of over $60 million seeking the open seat. State Senator Barack Obama won the Democratic primary, as Jack Ryan won the Republican primary, but three months later Ryan announced his withdrawal from the race four days after the Chicago Tribune persuaded a California court to release child custody records. Six weeks later, the Illinois Republican State Central Committee chose former Diplomat Alan Keyes to replace Ryan as the Republican candidate. The election was the first in which both major party candidates were African American. Obama's 43% margin of victory was the largest in the state history of U.S. Senate elections.
