Sarah Palin Laces Into President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama in New Book

Sarah Palin already thinks she can beat President Obama in 2012. Now, she wants America to know she is more patriotic than him, too.

In an excerpt from her new book "America By Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith and Flag," the Tea Party darling shows that her political mudslinging is in election year form, writing that the President and First Lady Michelle Obama don't love America.

The Mama Grizzly growls that people who accuse Tea Partiers of racism "think America — at least America as it currently exists — is a fundamentally unjust and unequal country. Barack Obama seems to believe this, too."

As proof, Palin cites Michelle Obama's infamous 2008 campaign speech where she said, "For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country."

Palin sums up her argument, saying, "I guess this shouldn't surprise us, since both of them spent almost two decades in the pews of the Reverend Jeremiah Wright's church listening to his rants against America and white people."

The book excerpts were posted by the website Palingates, a self-proclaimed Sarah Palin watchdog group.

One of the best ways to overcome an opponent is to get in their head. It creates unforced errors. In this context, it will make Palin's opponents act in a shallow and peevish and arrogant manner, and the public will pick up on that.

Palin's critics are still stuck in the images of 2008. Palin has moved beyond that, and is hiring experts to brief her on various political issues where she previously wasn't strong. While she's growing and learning, her opponents are still mocking, and in 2011 and 2012 they will try to attack the 2008 Palin, but she won't exist anymore. The new Palin will be able to talk policy - any policy - with the best of them.

People confuse lack of knowledge with stupidity. Palin may have lacked some foreign policy gravitas in 2008, but that doesn't mean she was or is stupid. While in office as mayor and governor, she had a thorough grasp of issues relevant to those positions. Now, she's like a football coach at half-time, correcting the mistakes of the first half, while her opponents are gloating in the locker room. Don't bet against her in the second half.

Thats why when any of the old guard float their names as a possible candidate, I ask myself “when did he get in Obama’s face over the last two years?” We’ve just come through the fight of the century. If he was waiting to be nominated, waiting to defeat his rival Repubs before going on the warpath in defense of the republic and the constitution, then he is no warrior.

He is not worthy of the office in these times. The list of people who have openly and aggressively gone after the O is pretty short, and my candidate will be drawn from that list. The others can save their breath and save their energy, which obviously they’ve been doing. If they weren’t in the fight the last two years, they needn’t come knocking now.

For me, the short list is Palin, DeMint, Bachmann, maybe Bolton, and maybe a couple of others on probationary status, Ryan maybe, Pence maybe, although they never really got into the mosh pit. There aren’t many others that come to mind who really played a role in shutting down the O-train. Pretty much its Palin, DeMint and Bachmann for me.

Palin was the ONLY one in 2008 who had the guts to stick it to Obama.

Even more important, she was the first and sometimes the only one to really go after Obama in the first half of 2009, when the GOP was as demoralized as I've ever seen it. She is the one who rallied the others; she took the heat and made it politically safe for the politicians to pick up their sticks and start fighting back.

She has never gone after any of her fellow Repubs, even when they were going after her. She has kept her focus on Obama.

I love the pic of Palin on the aircraft carrier. That is not the face of a dumb woman, but of a smart woman who is listening and learning and getting it. I wouldn’t be surprised if she could fly a military jet with proper training. I don’t think Katie Couric or Kathleen Parker could.
