God Bless Former President Bush. It takes a big pair of cajones to go on shows that ridiculed you, lied about you, and then called it comedy...wouldntya say? Leno said after all the fun we've had at his expense, he's a stand-up guy for coming.
To: decimon
He will be off TV screens until his library opens after Thanksgiving...his media tour is about finished.

Ronald Reagan was the last true Conservative Republican president in my estimate, in a lot of ways.
I hope those days return; 2010 gave me hope we can do it again, some 30 years later.

I remember when Bush and Lindsey “I’m going to tell the bigots to shut up” Grahamnesty tried to legalize millions upon millions of new Democratic voters. Thank God we adverted that disaster.

HUGH thank you Bumpity Bump!!!
Those who CHOOSE not to see what TARP was about, and any benefit from it, are certainly not about to start now. They can call themselves any thing they want, but I have my own word for them.

Why would President Bush try to defend Reagan’s amnesty?

I'm not. Really? You must have been very interested since you took the time to click on the link, scroll down to read the comments, actually took the time to hit "post reply" doing a cut and paste of another's comment and responding by typing words...ending the exercise by hitting "post"
Seems like a lot of time and work for someone not interested in the subject.

Zinggg!!! :)
I heard that THE President was very, very funny on Leno.
GOOD to see this man of character back in the public eye where he can set the record straight (at least with those who care what that record is, eh?)

I’m not interested enough to watch Leno. Sorry if I was ambiguous.

It is awesome seeing and hearing OUR President again. The memories...the nostalgia...the sanity...American exceptionalism...the flight suit pics...sigh...

The memories...the nostalgia...the sanity...American exceptionalism...the flight suit pics...sigh...Love your combination of memories, Justa! :)
But seriously......anyone who doesn't miss having a President who loves this country dearly, and who believes that America is the most exceptional country in the world, is just plain nuts!
(Maybe they don't love America like we do, eh?)

I was until his “momma” decided to insert herself into the 2012 Republican primaries. He can sell his “memoirs” somewhere else. It probably has a lot of pictures.

Oh, come on. It’s ridiculous to hold Dubya accountable for his mother’s off the cuff and off the wall remark.
He’s been nothing but gracious all his life and he said nothing of the kind beyond wishing that his brother could run.
My daughter could tell you not to blame her for what I say.

The ‘a lot of pictures’ remark tells me you never liked Bush and are probably a liberal troll.

So now the “test for conservatism” is whether or not one “liked Bush”?
I could give a **** about whether or not you think I’m a “liberal troll”... lol.. those words don’t any hold any power anymore on FR, they’re thrown around so much.

I'm sure you won't be surprised, altura, by those who somehow blame President Bush for what his mother says, even though it clearly does not reflect his own views.
Some people like to stretch a long way to make Bush a villain......even if it's something as trivial as what his (now elderly) mother says.
I would guess that none of us have views in lockstep with our Moms (even if they're as cool as Barbara Bush)..........and if we do, it's kinda sad.

Hey, streetpreacher..........the "lot of pictures" jab is a direct leftist critique of President Bush.
I know better, but when you use a 'Bush-is-dumb' bashing technique it's only logical to think you're not conservative. Conservatives know the man is not stupid. YOU know that President Bush is not stupid.
