Former Gov. Mitt Romney will have to grapple with the growing political clout of Tea Party activists many of whom are steaming mad about his role in Massachusetts universal health care as he gears up for a likely 2012 GOP presidential bid, party activists said yesterday.
Its gonna be something hes going to have to explain and it might just be a disaster for him, said Christen Varley, president of the Greater Boston Tea Party.

FUMR!!!
Some things can’t be explained.
4. Both went to Harvard, and they’re here to help.
;)
It'll doom his campaign before it even begins. Hey Mitt, fugetabout it. You have no shot.
Romneycare, taxpayer subsidized abortion, and gay marriage. The perfect liberal trifecta.
Romnehy brought all of them to Massachusetts, and ever since, he’s been lying about it.
But Romney’s a businessman. He paid off the Olympics at Salt Lake City. Never mind that he did it by getting a huge federal bailout.
Somebody tell Hannity
Bottom Line — Presidential Candidate Romney - if elected President - could never be trusted to sign a Republican Congressional Bill Repealing ObamaCare - even as passed by both Houses - the House of Representatives and the Senate...
Romney is not now - nor has he ever been a political conservative... Why Romney pretends to be a Conservative is a mystery... Is Romney like Florida Governor Crist - a political chameleon? A politico who will pretend to be anyone of any political persuasion? Yes - I believe Romney would - as he already has...
No worries, Jeb is thinking about running now. LOL
Mitt Romney in the White House would be another case of standing still or moving leftwards slowly. He is NOT the cure for what ails America, just another dose of the same establishment garbage.
What can you say about Romney? If it wasn’t for the abortion flip flop and the Romneycare.... It is like asking Mrs Lincoln except for that, How was the play? Why can’t the good Lord miracle up a Reagan II to save our sorry asses?
Dear Mr. Idiot Romney,
I realize that you are no fan of Reagan’s but he was absolutely right about socialism. In our present crisis, government is not the solution; government is the problem. And that applies at the federal AND state levels.
The conservative solution to socialist policies (government paying or subsidizing healthcare for people without insurance, for example) is not to add even MORE government force or intrusion or MORE socialism. the government should not be in the health care business at all!! Period!!
Get the government OUT!!
Capiche!!
There is nothing slow about Romney bringing in socialism. Romneycare preceded Obamacare and Massachusetts under Romney was the first state to recognize gay marriage. With his love of TARP and mandates, I’d say Romney is sprinting ahead and leading the way in the race to a socialized America.
Just like McCain, “the selection” by, and for the “Core”, has already begun.
My fearless forecast:
2012 GOP ticket will be...
Jeb Bush & Mitt Romney.
Don’t think they can beat the socialist Obamao.
There are just too many people receiving checks from the gov’t.
50% of people pay ZERO income tax. And they are growing.
The country just spent $380 Billion writing checks for unemployment, since Obamao took over.
I so hope you are wrong about the ticket.
On the Republican side, the establishment and the military/industrial complex buys the nomination for Bush.
The Tea Party bolts the Republican Party and nominates Palin or somebody else with firm Tea Party credentials.
On the Democratic side, the establishment hands it to Hillary.
The Progressive Socialists bolt the Democratic Party and nominate Obama or Howard Dean.
Following the election, there are recounts galore as the four parties vie to count or eliminate ballots in a number of states with close races.
Then the four parties launch Operation 270 in an attempt to buy the votes of electors before the December meeting of the Electoral College. That fails as people get riled to the point of violence.
With no one getting 270 electoral votes, the election goes into the House for the first time since 1824. There are lawsuits charging that the One State/One Vote formula in the Constitution is unconstitutional because of the 1962 One Man/One Vote ruling and the fact that DC is excluded from voting; the Supreme Court crushes that in short order. Then, just as in 1824, the Presidency is put up for sale to the highest bidders.
Eventually, one of those candidates wins 26 states, but has anywhere from two-thirds to three-quarters of the nation against him or her. Rather than see states secede, the first blows are struck in the streets of America, and the Second Civil War begins with an act of terrorism.
