Al Qaeda's Nuclear Ambitions
Foreign Policy ^ | 11/16/10 | Rolf Mowatt-Larssen

Ayman al-Zawahiri promises to make his next smoking gun a mushroom cloud.

American authorities managed to foil al Qaeda's latest plot to attack -- via hidden explosives in mail parcels -- but the long-term question remains unanswered: How can they ensure that they stay one step ahead of the terrorist group?

The good news is that there's no need to wonder what the terrorists' strategic and tactical goals are -- one need only listen to what their leaders have already told us. The bad news is that we no doubt won't like what we hear. Al Qaeda's leaders yearn to acquire and use weapons of mass destruction against the United States; if they acquired a nuclear bomb, they would not hesitate to use it. Indeed, such an attack would be meant to serve as a sort of sequel to the 9/11 plot.

Good solution. We'd have to scrape together cash for a one way ticket back to kenya for this muzzie clown.

"Al Qaeda's leaders yearn ..."

P2 yearns to at least neutron the moon rock and vicinity and to fuse the upper portions of a certain well in Qom.

Inevitably al Qaeda will get nuclear weapons from one source or another and attempt to use them against the west. I wonder what should be our response if, God forbid, a US city is nuked by terrorists? Who would we retaliate against when the perpetrators are not agents of a specific country?. Nuking the country that furnished the weapon might be an an option, but if the weapons are stolen from say Pakistan's arsenal do we bomb Pakistan?

The only common thread of the global terrorist movement is Islam. The terrorists are committing these acts for their religion and no other reason. Perhaps our retaliation should be directed there. Destroying Mecca might be an option. Certainly closing all mosques in the US and treating Islam like we did Nazi groups operating in the US at the start of WW-II might also be options. One could argue that most Muslims are not terrorists and should not suffer consequences for a few radicals in their group. However again go back to WW-II. Most Germans were not Nazis, but they directly or indirectly supported Hitler and his cause. To end the war all Germans were deemed the enemy and allied bombs rained down on Nazis and non Nazis alike.

There are no easy answers, but to let the nuking of an American city go unpunished because we cannot easily assign responsibility to the perpetrators would I believe not be acceptable to the American people nor justice for those killed in such a heinous attack. Clearly trying to go after the perpetrators like we are doing in Afghanistan is not successful. While we have captured some of the masterminds of 9-11, nearly a decade later they have not been punished and al Qaeda is still in business plotting to attack us. I do not know what the specific answer should be, but clearly only a no holds barred policy of exterminating these terrorists can be successful in eliminating the threat.

for a start...pick out some particular venerated site in Mecca during the Hajj and turn it into a smoking pile of rubble. Then announce to the world’s Muslims that they have 30 days to blow in all of these scum or we’re coming back for the rest of the city.

My sentiments exactly. When we went to war against Japan, it wasn't against Japanese extremists, who, nowadays, no doubt, it would be argued by democraps, were the only ones who could be held accountable for Pearl Harbor. But no, we weren't stupid in those days, and we went to war against Japan and all her citizens, extremist or not.

I've argued our response to 9/11 should be to build neutron bombs again, nuke Mecca with them to eradicate the vermin and immediately send in the Rangers to recover the moon rock. Bring it back to New York and build a simple, respectful, understated memorial to the victims of 9/11 at ground zero (perhaps something like The Vietnam War Memorial). Then embed the moon rock in Urinal #1 of the men's room at the memorial, or perhaps, even better, in Toilet #1 of the women's room, since everything about women throws the backward inbred bastards into a blind rage.

If ever a nuke is used against us, declare war against all of Islam and nuke all their towns and cities around the world with a population greater than 500 people and a demographic ratio that is 90% or more muslim. Afterward, send in the military to kill the rest of them, no surrenders accepted. Then hound for a hundred years whatever survivors escaped our attention by hiding under rocks with hunter killer teams until we can declare them extinct once and for all, but all the while remaining alert for next thousand years for their re-emergence in whatever goat-humping backwater the infection attempts to re-establish itself. Islam should have no place in the world.

Wrong assumptions.

imho

They have the weapons.

They will not use them until cued to do so because the globalists giving them the weapons still maintain effective control of their stooges. They have myriads of ways of !control!

Not in the Nuclear space, but a new value popped up last night: "Bio-collapse"

It's apparently supported by (famine, hunger, crop failure, food shortage) and (sickness, plague, death, depopulation) and (weapons, strike, attack) and (pattern, spread, shrink, reduce, minimize, small).

Somewhat similar to the Insanity Wave structures, but this seems to include crops or something like "weaponized famine"...?

Or maybe something vectored through crops, causing food stocks to be destroyed or made otherwise inedible?

I don't know. It's either small, or reduces things. Maybe both. Weird.
