It should be done in every state.
This is all good. Even is 3 or 4 states adopt this type of policy on eligibility Obama will not be able to win in 2012 if he can’t get on the ballot in those states. They wrote in one of his books that he found his birth certificate folded inside of a book. He has it he just won’t show it.
It needs to be the original long form and not a reasonable facsimile. Also, all candidates should be subject to a routine background check, including all school, dmv, military, financial, and medical records.

As Obama proved, a fake certificate is available online. Anyone with basic computer graphic skills can come up with a fake. I hope the language in these bill proposals include a requirement that a genuine seal is on the birth certificate, or include hospital records as well.

Obama’s past saying they knew him, attended school with him, was his
friend, etc. Not one person has ever come forward from his past.

Stephanopoulos also was a classmate of Obama at Columbia — the
class of 1984. He says he never had a single class with him.
While he is such a great orator, why doesn’t anyone in Obama’s
college class remember him? And, why won’t he allow Columbia to release
his records?

Obama consistently declines requests to talk about his years at Columbia ,

NOTE: Root graduated as Valedictorian from his high school,
Thornton-Donovan School , then graduated from Columbia University in 1983
as a Political Science major in the same class that Barack Hussein Obama
was supposed to have been in.

Texas Senate rules require approval by 2/3rd's of the members to bring legislation to the floor. Despite the big shift in party majority in the Texas House, the Texas Senate was unchanged.
There are 12 Democrats in the Texas Senate. That's just enough to prevent a bill from being brought to the floor, if all Democrats vote against it.
Anyone holding state or federal public office and all government employees state and federal should be compelled to go through a secret security clearance. This would require a thorough background check including an original birth certificate.
This will only work IF the language of the bill is very clear it must be a “vault” copy, not a COLB issued by the state. Also, it needs to define what “natural born” is. Many of us on FR would say that being born to a Kenyan father keeps the current president from being “natural born.” However, there are many others that hold a different view. Anyway, if the “natural born” is not defined it leaves things murky.
I suspect the original BHO birth certificate will be one filled by the parent, not a hospital/physician. That being the case, it still doesn’t prove or disprove where he was born. What happens then?
Anyway, the legislation has to be clear and basically “interpret” what the constitution meant by “natural born.” By doing so it will be challenged in federal courts and eventually be taken up by the SCOTUS where it should be decided with a SCOTUS interpretation of the COTUS. We probably won’t agree with the interpretation, but it would settle the issue for the future.
This is why Obammy does not plan to run a second term. Everyone is ready for him the DNC and the Rinos this time.
This is essential. The rule of law, or what is left of it, is all that separates us from a Soviet-style kleptocracy. Even the “president” of the United States must obey the law and the Constitution. The Dem party doesn’t care, so it’s up to conservative states to force the issue.
