No, your comments weren’t overbearing, and I truly respect the fact that you took the time to comment very gracefully, on what I wrote. We may not agree on all things, but, as long as we can have a mature, agreement to disagree on certain issues, then all is well.

I have no idea whether it’s God’s will for Sarah to run and win the presidency. That’s up to Him and her.

I do have to agree with you on man’s free will. However, let me add that Jesus struck Saul of Tarsus blind on the road to Damascus, and I’ll bet that Saul didn’t have a hand in that. But, the church was praying for Saul, and, so God intervened to turn Saul around, and he became the Apostle Paul. The Apostle to the Gentiles. God also intervened in Nivevah when he told Jonah to go preach to that wicked city, or he was going to destroy it. Jonah wanted no part of that, so, he bought a ticket and headed for Tarshish. God wasn’t happy with that, so, he intervened and had Jonah thrown overboard, until Jonah made up his mind to obey God. And, so, he did. God saved the city of Ninevah, then Jonah whined and bellyached about it.

Just a couple of examples of God intervening in people’s lives without them asking him to do so. I have to respect that God is all wisdom and knows what He’s doing. Yes, sometimes I question things, and who doesn’t? That’s why He is God and we are human. There are some things probably we are better off not knowing.

Back to the subject at hand. I do enjoy watching Bristol. I think she’s a beautiful girl, who has made a mistake in her life. She didn’t shun her responsibility, and is trying to make a decent living for her and her son. I’m appalled at the hatred in the blogosphere for her and Sarah. It just shows me what hypocrites people truly are.
I don’t know whether Bristol will win, but, she made it to the finals, and, really, who could ask for anything more? People have their reasons why they vote for who they vote for, but, mine isn’t out of spite. I do enjoy the liberal heads exploding, and I’d be a liar if I said I didn’t. But, that isn’t my motivation.

Thank you CatsRUs. I appreciate the response.

I wrote this once and tossed it out. Hope this new version makes sense.

I believe that in the days you were referencing, ultimate salvation was not at hand for all of humanity. Individual and regional salvation was.

Today the world has shrunk to the point that universal salvation can be determined. Information flows, understanding is obtained, choices are being made.

It is in this environment that you see a possible reawakening, via the right person being installed in our government. I’m not opposed to that. I’m just not convinced it plays into God’s hand at this point.

Humanity is making it’s choices now. The Holy Spirit is working overtime, but it’s on a personal basis. We will chose our leaders on our own. And at some point, we will make enough wrong decisions that failure will result.

And as the global infrastructure crumbles, God’s opportunity to rescue His own, becomes possible. I’m just not convinced that putting that off any longer is necessary.

The ducks are in a row now. Everything needed to bring about that moment, is now in place. What does it benefit man or God to delay further?

Look, there may be something I’m missing, and if so you could be right and I wrong. We’ll see.

You take care. I’ve enjoyed talking with you.
