Nothing else.
Yes it’s a popularity contest or a dance contest, the voter gets to pick.
But I have to admit, every other show at this point in the season the judges are neutral and let the audience pick, with the exception of Stacey Kiebler who was under judged for her excellence, as opposed to Kyle’s over judge, have I seen such disparity.

These are the amateurs Bristle was competing against. Both Jennifer and Brandy were awesome in their movies.
Your attitude is exactly the reason this country is where it is today. We’ve played nicey nice while the libs have pounded us. We aren’t taking it any more. We’re allowed to vote as many times as allowed, and we’re taking advantage of the rules - not cheating, like say, most DEMS who win in close elections.
Geesh! Some of you are pathetic.
I was shocked at Derek’s reaction. Not like him.
Then, out of the blue the liberal Hollywood media started making noises last week that she remained because of a tea party conspiracy, when her scores get better each week.
So, as usual, the libs start an unnecessary provocation (while making a kid feel like crap)...and then whine about the results.
Oops, you're right :). Well, that makes even more sense as to why they'd pit Brandy against Bristol as the final two.
I wasn’t aware the show was on Fox? When did it change stations?
You certainly implied it was immoral. And yes, you are entitled to your opinion....so nanner nanner!
I am not a fan of DWTS, but after reading some the posts here I decided to watch and AFTER watching those idiots make those faces I will from now on cast my vote! Never have done it, but that really pissed me off! I hope Bris wins!
Derek and Mark are best friends and Derek goes and makes that face.
Did a quick search on Brandy and found out that Essence magazine had basically already given her the trophy. Almost expect Jesse J to get involved tomorrow. :)
Rev Al will join also.
Backstabber weasel! With a friend like that...you know the rest..geez!
Derek is sheltered, he was in the UK most of his life. He knows nothing of politics, that’s what this was all about.
Yet another signal that the Mike Castle’s of the party are dead. Very sad Brandy had to be the fall gal...
Yikes mupcat...you may have to lodge a complaint with the show.
Because since its inception, good dancers have gone home over those who were not as good, but more well known...especially by the tween and teenage crowd.
Funny, no one called foul on those....because libs are showing their true colors, THEY HATE with a passion...by pitching a fit over a silly dance show, these “professionals” in Hollywood and media show no class whatsoever.
Guess i read Derek the wrong way. Guess he is not political like you say.
Same here YOU BETCHA!
He's a good dancer, and appreciates other good dancers. I wasn't really surprised at all. Once again, the judges, participants and viewers need to constantly remind themselves that this is just as much a popularity contest, probably more so, than a dance contest. However, that doesn't change your initial reaction (mine included) when you first hear that someone with the most merit/talent was voted out. Then you think for a moment and remember - oh yeah, this is really more about popularity than dancing (or singing, or whatever). But, it's too late for your first reaction if you make the mistake of taking one of these reality/talent shows seriously.
Very true.
I have watched it from the very first show, and yes you are right there have been many times when a poorer dancer has outlasted a better dancer, but never at this point, and never when the personality was a much of a lightening rod as Bristol----well not Bristol herself, but because of her mother.
