The votes are in from Lake County, Illinois, as of 1626 CST, meaning that all votes are now in. The "Northwest Herald" had reported that Cook County's votes were all in, and, at that point, Walsh lead Melissa Bean by 311 votes district wide.
The Lake County Clerk was the last to report. Of the absentees and provisionals, Walsh got 459 votes, for a total countywide of 55,148, and Bean got 473 votes, for a total countywide of 52,025.
This means that Walsh has a 297 vote lead with all votes now counted.
Congratulations to Joe Walsh!!! GOP member #241 of the 112th Congress.
GOP now +62.

I would not be surprised if Joe Miller beats Lisa Murkowski by a handful of votes.Or... Stupid ignorant fellow Alaskans too afraid to lose their union jobs to blame if the KOW wins.

Math has never been my strength so not surprising that I got confused by the numbers here.

Me either. But in reality Miller ran a horrible campaign. took the advice of his campaign staff and became too DCish in his presentation.
We need to know all the names of his paid campaign staff so they will never work again.
Congrats to Joe Walsh. Saw Bean on a news program just before the election with Little Luis Guiterrez. They were trying to position her as a “conservative” Dem. It was sickening. Glad the voters in the district saw thru it.
I don’t think it is the Alaskan voters. It’s Lisa and her crookedness. I wonder if they counted the military votes or did they hide them?

It is a rare victory for a Republican to win a close one. You would have thought the Dims could have found just a few more dead people to vote.
