Sarah Palin has officially jumped the shark.
Last nights premier of Sarah Palins Alaska will be remembered as the moment the once-promising, conservative darling crossed over into the absurd.
Part Alaska tourism promo, part window into the family Palin, TLCs eight-part series features clips of the former governor at home in gym shorts and shots of the family enjoying the great outdoors while she calls out folksy comments like, this is flippin fun!
If thats not enough, Palin takes Kate Gosselin (of Jon & Kate Plus 8 fame) camping in the Alaska wilderness - the two women reportedly didnt get along (Kate, it seems, is a bit of an indoor cat).
Conduct unbecoming a former governor and vice presidential

I agree with the article. 8 weeks of this? IS Sarah crazy? This is hinting at pure narcissim which I thought he was above. Sorry folks. I like Sarah, but this put in question some things in my mind. It makes her more popular, but it also makes her look very plain.
I don’t want a president who is plain. I want a president how is smarter than me, whom I learn from....Don’t know, I think she did jump the shark here.
They put down Palin because they are are war with conservative values.
What a great question!
Let’s hear it from all of you Sarah Palin bashers. Tell us how you would never vote for Ronald Reagan, that ACTOR.
No telepromter was hurt in recording of last night’s show
You want the wrong things from a president in my humble opinion.
FIVE MILLION VIEWERS, folks! BIGGEST launch in TLC history...spread the word, everyone!
So what? It's a television show, not a political forum! If you say it doesn't help her, I'd like to know just how and why you think it would hurt her?
I can't believe the hysterical hand-wringing I'm seeing here... it's nothing but a tempest in a teapot.
This "reality show" will have a neutral effect on her candidacy in the worst case. In the best case, it will help, and quite frankly, anyone who would discount her as a result of this show would never have voted for her anyway...
You want the wrong thing. The president should have character, and an understanding of how real people live their lives. Sarah has that.
The smart guys go to Yale or Harvard.
The smart guys never actually have to work for a living.
The smart guys get $300,000 a year jobs for their wives, doing civil rights outreach at big city hospitals.
The smart guys think that inflating your tires which reduce the price of gas.
Sarah is plenty smart enough -- but she's not a Smart Guy. That's why I like her.
Which makes her ineluctable.
I think that was a factor but the main thing was Obama’s a leftist and NotBush. If Clarence Thomas had been elected POTUS the Nobel committee would not have given him a peace prize - and he’s a lot more authentically black than Obama.
Well, then, I'm sure you're elated with the professorial Maoist who is currently in the White House.
ROTFLOL Sour grapes. The program was great and that’s why they let the cat claws out. Sarah and family are loving and normal.
Sarah Palin is smarter than all the others put together for coming up with this series, to show case the Alaska she loves, and to introduce and define herself to millions of Americans who might otherwise know her only through the ugly smears of the lamestream and journ0lists like this one.
The wheat is being separated from the chaff. It's a good thing, folks, welcome it...
I remember another guy who had a TV show and then became president. He was a two termer also, I think.
The producers in my opinion sabotaged her. I can almost hear them talking to her now... Yes... everyone knows you can shot a elk and skin it in 2 minutes flat and have it's head hanging on your wall before dinner... but lets stretch you a bit... get you “out there” in the REAL Alaska! doing stuff you haven't done before, get you out of your comfort zone, and the best part is... we'll pay for it ! So by doing this they get her to agree to do things she hasn't had experience doing before (like mountain climbing) and manage to make her look a little silly in the process. But let me just say that none of this made Todd look silly in the slightest! Todd was like.... whatever... whats the big deal... it's a freaking crack ... step over it... oh big whoop a small hill ... why are we even wearing harnesses? lol
8 episodes of clean-cut fun, gorgeous scenery, and really getting to know the family. It will help not hurt Palin regardless of what she decides to do. I hope she runs, just because I don’t trust anyone else.
