McALESTER, Okla. Members of a Kansas church that protests at military funerals may have found themselves in the wrong town over the weekend.
Shortly after finishing their protest at the funeral of Army Sgt. Jason James McCluskey of McAlester, a half-dozen protesters from Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kan., headed to their minivan Saturday, only to discover that its front and rear passenger-side tires had been slashed.
To make matters worse, as their minivan slowly hobbled away on two flat tires, with a McAlester police car following behind, the protesters were unable to find anyone in town who would repair their vehicle, according to police.
The minivan finally pulled over several blocks away in a shopping center parking lot, where AAA was called. A flatbed service truck arrived and loaded up the minivan. Assistant Police Chief Darrell Miller said the minivan was taken to a Walmart for repairs.

I always wondered how a can of Great Stuff Expanding Foam would do in the tail pipe...
Onions work better.........
On second thought......road apples would be perfect!!!
A suggested alternative method of transportation.
I need to remind all of you about the Patriot Guard. My husband became a participant several years ago about the time it was first created.... to my knowledge BECAUSE of Phelps and his antics. The Patriot Guard consists of motorcycle patriots that builds a ‘wall’ between the funeral and the protesters. It is a fabulous feeling to hear numerous bikes revving their engines to drown out the noise from protesters. The Guard appears only by the family’s permission. It is so awesome to see these proud Americans exhibit their honor and reverence to a fallen soldier.
And you can be sure that if the Patriot Guard were present in OK, they were NOT the ones to slash the tires. It is a commitment of each guard to always stay within the law.
That’s hard on the family jewels! You might not father another child
I’d recommend your method!
Look in the picture posted in post #53 directly above your post. The van has Kansas plates. I doubt they'd fly from Kansas to Oklahoma.
FReepers: Check out BufordP's most excellent post in #53. ;-)
Yeah now they’ll have some of their inbred family watching over the vehicles. But someone could still skillfully throw a few triangular tire spikes under tires to accomplish the same
Maybe we’ll see more of this, and the traitors will wise up. America is not impressed by cowardice.
Or a Palin 2012 sticker - to guarantee the van will be keyed at a later time.
Has anyone thought of 1/2 of a bottle or so of “doe in heat” deer scent liberally sprinkled down in the HVAC plenum below the windshield?
That would knock buzzards off of a gut wagon!
These people's protests are nothing more that "Fighting words":
There are certain well-defined and narrowly limited classes of speech, the prevention and punishment of which have never been thought to raise any constitutional problem. These include the lewd and obscene, the profane, the libelous, and the insulting or "fighting" words those which by their very utterance inflict injury or tend to incite an immediate breach of the peace. It has been well observed that such utterances are no essential part of any exposition of ideas, and are of such slight social value as a step to truth that any benefit that may be derived from them is clearly outweighed by the social interest in order and morality. Chaplinsky v. New Hampshire, 315 U.S. 568 (1942).
As I see it, they do not engage in protected speech. They are engaged in tortious infliction of mental distress and the victims of their conduct are legally justified in protecting themselves through self help. I bet a jury would agree.
Now that’s an idea. Their heads will really explode.
What's your evidence? Or did I miss the "/s" tag?
I have suspected it for a long time. I believe their antics are intended to make Christians look bad. They are NO Christians (the Phelps idiots).
