He told New York City television station NY1 that he was no longer able to continue paying his legal team. "I have exhausted my abilities to raise the funds which are necessary to move on (with representation)," Rangel said. "All I do is just ask for the time to be heard and I am conficent that at the end of the day my constituents' faith in me, as demonstrated by their overwhelming vote, will be well-founded."

Not sure of posting rules for FoxNews but the headline says it all. What a corrupt whiner.

He said he would represent himself.

He is an attorney. He could have read those 80 pages.

After all, he read over 2,000 pages of Obamacare overnight and voted YES.

Charlie you are full of it!

Why should Rangel care?

Taxpayers, Republicans, and peons go to jail.

Pelosi democrat party crooks have absolutely NOTHING TO FEAR!

This is what Sharpton does. Lives the life of a multi-millionaire, but doesn’t own anything and hasn’t got two red cents to rub together. The media shrugs their shoulders and says “OK, now on to our next BS story.”

OOOOOK, so what did the lawyers he hired with the PAC money do for their fees? He's had lawyers for months now, did they just take the money and run? Or did they advise him he had no case?

If the dems whitewash this case they will never live it down.

It is not just Liberals. Conservatives and Republicans (RIINOs) ask for legal funds when they are sued. I say that all politicians pay for all their legal costs. Why should tax payers or even donors pay for them. The politicians make loads of cash even if they don’t win their elections that paying for legal costs should at least be required.

The man is literally a Korean War hero, saving 40 men in his unit from Chinese capture, leading them out over three freezing days despite being injured by shrapnel. I wonder what he could have been if only he hadn’t gotten involved in corrupt NY politics. The machine ruined a hero.

I am confident that at the end of the day my constituents' faith in me, as demonstrated by their overwhelming vote, will be well-founded

What's the ratio of federal redistribution of wealth into / out of Rangel's district? What's the per capita transfer of wealth to Rangel's constituents who love him so?

This is just more of the same old democrat crap. Normal people can’t pull this stunt. But MEDIA would rather talk about snookie and dancing with the stars than shed any light on CROOKS like charlie, Dodd, Frank, Pelosi, Reid, Jefferson, Emanual, the Clintons(cattle trading - ha!), Holder, Browning, Blumberg, the Kennedys-——Geeze the list never ends.
There’s no outrage in the media about Soros, Acorn or all the other hermaphrodites that populate “public service”

You can’t swing a dead cat and not hit a community organizer being paid by OUR tax dollars - and there’s not a one of them worth a pail of spit. Every one of these leachs should be FORCED to dig ditchs and build houses for FOOD.
Sorry... had to get that out. I’m OK now. (sigh)

Well, as long as he’s “conficent” that’s all that really matters.

It’d be embarrassing for everyone involved, not to mention messy, if he were to become “inconficent” on the floor of the house of representatives.

;-)

That was cut and pasted directly from the article. I saw it too but thought maybe someone would come at me with a copyright infringement lawsuit because I changed/corrected it. :)
