“As much as I hope Joe wins, if what I had heard is true, he won’t.”

Miller’s not out yet. Look at the numbers. Do the math. Question what you hear (my advice.)

Best!

“You watch, soon as Murkowski is declared the winner, they will address all these election issues, the courts re-interpretation of state statutes, and then rule that Ak go back to the way votes were counted over the last 50 years, not the method being used in this election.”

If that happens, then AK is indeed sicker than we though - caught up in the federal largess of the past 50 years.

But first things first - you and I watch - Joe Miller can still win.

“40 so-called (R) party ‘leaders’ attacked Joe”

Nice, huh? Any doubt what we’re dealing with in large swaths of the GOP? Has the unceasing lament about the RINOs on this board fallen on deaf ears? Did we think this was going to be easy fighting back against the professional politicians and progressive liars from both parties?

Tea Party on!!

“According to people who saw it, she was acting like she won on FNC at about 8pm.”

Her first end game - claim victory before the military votes are counted. If Miller’s ahead with uncontested votes, then murk’s case goes down both in the court of public opinion, and perhaps in the courts themselves.

Lyin’ Lisa would love nothing more, than to disenfranchise military voters RIGHT NOW. Please keep that in mind when you see her moaning about ‘count every vote’ on the alphabet propaganda stations.

Do you think any conservative of stature will challenge Cornyn in the March 2014 primary? For some odd reason, Republicans in TX keep renominating him, and then the regular voters reelect him.

I can’t say because I just don’t know that much about TX politics. I’m in GA, where I am frustrated to the point of tears that Chambliss and Isakson keep getting reelected. Granted, they have both taken turns to the right. But make no mistake: they are RINOs, and will return to their old ways if given half a chance. Hopefully we can keep the heat on, and keep them toeing the line.

As for Cornyn, he has two years to prove himself. If he continues to tick off the Tea Partiers, we can only hope a strong challenger arises. It’s amazing how much good it does these career pols, to have to fight for their political lives every now and then.

Is Mitch McC actively stumping now for Lisa? People in KY think he is “conservative.”

All the material on the AK race is confusing. Have any of the military ballots been counted yet?

McConnell is not at this moment openly supporting Murkowski that I’ve heard. I’ve read plenty of Freeper posts by people from KY who do not view McConnell as conservative, however. Even if he is conservative, he’s been too wimpish about it. We need a Leader who will go to the mat for our cause, not one who defers to these damnable ‘gangs’ of 14, or however many—and who end up shooting conservatives in the foot.

McConnell has said banning earmarks is pointless because it would make little difference in the national spending.

Rush gave an excellent explanation of why earmarks should be banned. It’s because they can (and are) be used as a bribe. For example, one senator (can’t remember who at the moment) changed his vote on healthcare because he got an earmark.

I’m not that sold on McConnell as a conservative at the moment.

I see it as who bought who.

Big Money talks and all these sell-out dance to the tune.

At least now I know who is owned.

Ben Nelson of NE could have stopped the whole disastrous healthcare debacle, and said he would—and then was bribed into acquiescing. The good people of NE booed him in a pizza parlor not long after, and Nelson has been fearful ever since. I hope and pray he is a goner in 2012.

Thanks for reminding me about McConnell and earmarks. I heard Rush explain that. I would LOVE to see a Leader with more fire in the belly for conservatism than McConnell. I hope it happens. We shall see.

We re-elect him because he has an R after this name. IF he wins his primary...then he will be re-elected. First time I voted for him, I had to hold my nose. I knew what he was and is but we’ll never elect anyone with a D after their name.

I don’t think Miller can make up the difference on absentee ballots alone. His only real hope for victory is to disqualify as many write-in votes as possible for Murkowski. The Anchorage Daily News reported yesterday that more than 90% of the write ins were completely unchallenged and counting for Murkowski. Only 1.5% of Miller’s challenges are undisputed, which isn’t going to get it done. It probably needs to be 10-12% and it doesn’t seem likely that all of Miller’s other challenges (approximately 7.5% of the total write ins) will be upheld. These include challenges made for writing a name in the incorrect order (Lisa Murkowski instead of Murkowski Lisa), including the word Republican (Lisa Murkowski Republican), and votes made with at least one letter written in cursive. He has a decent chance to have his challenges upheld in cases where the name is misspelled, though.

McConnell was stupid enough to say his first order of business is to get rid of Obama. Why give ammunition to the opposition? He’s been in D.C. long enough to know better.

I had no idea he said that. The statement is barely coherent. What on earth did he mean by it? That he can’t do a thing for the conservative cause until 2012? That he has a double secret plan for ousting Obama immediately? It may give ammo to the opposition, but it doesn’t do a thing for the loyalists either, if I’m any indication.

Or am I missing something?

[If you asked me, the first order of business would be to defund Obamacare. Also to further discredit it, and to work at its total repeal.]
