With Words on Muslims, (Sarrazin) Opening a Door Long Shut
New York Times ^ | November 12, 2010 | MICHAEL SLACKMAN

Posted on 11/13/2010 4:33:23 AM PST by reaganaut1

[Thilo Sarrazin] has caused a huge public stir [in Germany] with his volatile book arguing that Muslim immigrants in Germany are socially, culturally and intellectually inferior to most everyone else.

With the certainty of an accountant adding up rows of numbers, Thilo Sarrazin has delivered his conclusion in a book that has sold over one million copies, forced him to quit his job at the German central bank, may get him kicked out of his political party and for the first time since World War II made it socially acceptable in Germany to single out a particular minority for criticism.

“The facts I quoted and analyzed are undeniable and cannot be done away with,” he said without a hint of defensiveness in his quiet, understated manner.

Mr. Sarrazin, 65, is tall and trim, with a head of thick grayish hair, round tortoiseshell glasses and a right eye that is always squinting, as if looking into the sun. Friends of Mr. Sarrazin say they are not at all surprised that he has found himself in this position because while he is quiet and orderly, he also has a penchant for offending.

“I am not impolite,” he says.

He prefers blunt.

A few years ago, Mr. Sarrazin chastised the poor, saying they could easily survive — even thrive — on the approximately $5.50 a day they received for food from public assistance, and that they should stop complaining. He personally derailed a plan to privatize the German rail system, upsetting a political deal but winning praise for his fiscal acumen. He had to manage Berlin’s finances when the city was about $75 billion in debt and is credited with significantly reining in city spending.

“Bluntness,” Mr. Sarrazin said, “on the right subject at the right time is an element of success.”

So the NYT takeaway is that if you critique Muslims, you are a Nazi.

With over a billion muslims world wide, how are they a 'minority'?
Unlike Jews, muslims belong to their religion by choice, not by birh.

Just ask muslim-borm Barack Hussein 0bama.
He claims to be a Christian now... by choice.

And we also know that the New York Times finds nothing wrong with it being quite socially acceptable to criticize Christians within their own circles.

If German food prices are anything like ours, they certainly could. I spend about that much on food, and not even trying to tighten the belt. A lot of chocolate in there too -- that being part of your psychotropic food group.

He says that after examining three indicators — success in education and employment, and welfare dependency — he concluded that Islam is by its nature a drag on individual success.

That's absolutely the truth. This has nothing to do with ethnic group or language, but is simply the result of the fact that Islam is anti-individual, anti-intellectual, anti-capitalist, and fatalistic.

It's an evil political system essentially dedicated to proclaiming Arab racial supremacy. It is a mere parody of a "religion" but uses this alleged status to enforce absolute control over its adherents.

The only way to become wealthy in Islam, if you haven't inherited wealth that was previously stolen from infidels, is to go out and steal some yourself. This can range from everything to kidnapping for ransom to simply extorting money from an infidel state's welfare system, which is obviously the form it takes in Germany.

The truth is sometimes painful.

I amazes me how leftists go out of their way to placate murderous cults and societies while denigrating their own. They must have a death wish because they will be the first to have their heads cut off if this cult does gain control.

They seem to be too ignorant or stupid to understand that one point.

Like all government figures, the food pyramid is a hoax. I know because chocolate and caffeine aren't listed as essential food groups.

Yes indeed! I used to put choc and coffee in the vegetable category, since they are beans and good for you, but have lately concluded that they are even better than that, and belong in a distinct food group. Just like you wouldn’t put beer in the grain group.
Some things just...transcend.

Can't picture a muslim man in a typical Bedouin dress working on an assembly line for Mercedes. Just can't picture it.

That is because he had surgery sometime back which damaged a facial nerve, so the right side of his face is partially paralized. It also affects his speech somewhat. Didn't damage his smarts, though!

Ich bin ein Thilo.
