Americans' view of Sarah Palin is more unfavorable now than at any time since she was the Republican vice presidential nominee.
According to a poll released Friday, 52 percent now say they have an unfavorable view of the former Alaska governor, whose visibility remains high following her campaign efforts during the midterm election season. Her unfavorability rating hit 50 percent only one other time, in October 2009.
Those who view Palin positively have also declined this year, from a consistent 44 percent of the public in late 2009 to 40 percent this November.
She remains popular among a wide majority of Republicans (80 percent), as she was in November 2008 (83 percent). Among independents, however, she's fallen rapidly out of favor over the last few months: from 43 percent approval in July to a record low of 35 percent today.

I think the saturation is hurting her.
It doesn’t matter that more than half of the public views her negatively. She’ll win with the biggest landslide ever! /s
While Rasmussen finds that “the people” are negative on Republicans, but support the Tea Party.
We in fly over country always have to consider the source...
I had to add a sarcasm tag because too many folks here would think I was serious.
Actually, I think it’s the constant drumbeat of the media that’s hurting her. Even so, and this article might not have gone into it, but FNC mentioned today that her numbers have actually gone up—significantly—over the past few months.

No one wins an election with unfavorability ratings THAT high. It’s impossible.
After the onslaught of attacks she has had from leftist filth and their comrades in the GOP establishment, I find her unfavorable rating to be remarkably low. Keep up the good work Sarah. Never give the bastards an inch.
What fraction of the voting public favors S0r0$? Barney Frank? Reid? Pelosi? JF’nK? Edwards? H!?
Here’s how I look at this: This is a demonstration of the power of money and the media. So many people have heard dirt about her that some of it has stuck.
The 40% of hard Dem parasites will hate her no matter what, because they get the instructions from the media on how to think. Roughly another 40% of firm Republicans are predisposed to her; I’d like to think it’s because they’ve looked at her with open eyes, but of course, many of them are also influenced by the VWRC media.
For the 20% in the middle... the Independents... news coverage, and the money which buys it, are apparently very important. It will take a lot of positive exposure of Sarah being Sarah to erase the incredible negative attacks she experienced in 2008.
So she is nearly as unpopular as Obama — what a shame.
The reason we trust thehill.com, or care what it says, is...
Everybody hated Reagan, too.
STOP SARAH PALIN WEEK ONE IS COMING TO A CLOSE.
What's in store for Week Two?
pissedpants choking his chubby on a friday afternoon.
I bet 90% of those who have an unfavorable opinion could not articulate exactly WHY they have that opinion.
Frustrating.
I like her a lot, but I don’t think she could win an election. Not with the media’s hatred of her.
