Yup. Or, as my dad is fond of saying, "There's a lot more organic food sold, than grown."
I had a panel truck posted on the web for $2700 for which I paid $1700. I would have been happy with a quick $1000 profit. But I kept getting phone calls asking what’s wrong with the truck? Even though I kept telling them nothing, no one came in to see the vehicle. To stop the phone calls I priced the truck within it’s market range $12700 and sold it that week.
Some people....You just can’t help the clueless.
Did you notice that DOn Otto - the store owners dad and store namesake was said to be ‘an investor’?
Looks like daddy fronted him and his girl friday - maybe his books needed a business loss deduction - lol

During the Carter years, I worked as a counter-salesman at a Mom & Pop Auto Parts store....
Late one evening, a customer came in for a can of oil, and, upon seeing that the price had gone from 39cents to 49 cents, started off on a wild-eyed rant about how we were a rip-off operation and were overcharging him....
After letting him go on for a while(it was a slow night, and he was kinda entertaining.. ), I stopped him and said, “Tell ya what - I’ll sell you that oil at 2 for a dollar”
He took two cases.....
the smart rich even shop sales...Goodwill is absolutely chic here ....being frugal is a virtue, not a vice....
Last week I paid $.99 a dozen for eggs at Trader Joe’s. They tasted just fine to me. I note that Trader Joe’s has stores in the Boston area. Even at Ma gas prices, it’s worth driving to save the $7 difference to get a fungible product.
Dittos, well said.
“She must be a Democrat. ‘It’s your duty to keep our business going, whether we sell anything you want, whether we charge a price you’re willing to pay. You OWE us just for deigning to offer our goods to losers like you!’”
Exactly.
Another leftist business owner bites the dust.
Good riddance.
LOL!
Typical snotty Bostonian thinking.
Thing is, at her prices, it’d be easier to just go out to eat at the innumerable pricey eateries in the area.
I was thinking daddy probably lost his life savings in the venture, and he sure doesn't have any reason to expect his kid to be in a position to help him out in his old age.
Too soon old. Too late smart.

She’s angry because all the butter clingers didn’t prop up her business model.
Her customers were too stupid. Just like Obama’s citizens are too stupid.
Typical liberal.
I'll go practice my sarcasm posting. Thanks again for setting me straight!
Hey, that’s not bad at all.
We’ll make am SP out of you yet.
$8.00 for eggs? Heck, the Dollar Tree has eggs for 1/8th that price.
