Sarah Palin Advocating for Christian and Civic Education
Cafffeinated Thoughts ^ | 11/12/10

Governor Sarah Palin gave a speech last week at Plumstead Christian School in Plumsteadville, PA that wasn’t highly publicized or talked about. I particularly enjoyed her plug for school choice and parental sovereignty in education. She also spoke about the important role that Christian schools play educating students about our nation’s founding, our Constitution’s foundation in Natural Law and American exceptionalism.

Good stuff, I encourage you to watch the whole thing.

People need to be educated about the origins and goals of “Progressive Education” and “Affective Edcuation”, the prevalent paradigms in today’s government schools.

Today’s government schools have become the Bus Ministry of the State Church of Humanism (see Humanist Manifesto I and II and its signers).

The “school district” is better understood by its Marxian name, “school collective”.

I find that most conservatives agree in principle with the prevailing government school paradigm. However, it is inconsistent to agree with the collectivist government school model while rejecting its inevitable redistributionist tax consequences.

Parents must be made responsible for the education of their own children. For corner cases, charities and scholarships from private institutions can be brought to bear for assistance.

We’ve made the necessary sacrifices to homeschool the nine children we have here at home. Yet, we are still required to pay for the government schools, for which our school collective charges the tax payers $18,000 per student per year.

We, as well as many other people forced into the collective, completely disagree with the world view being promoted in the government schools. Yet we must pay - or else.

“To compel a man to furnish contributions of money for the propagation of opinions which he disbelieves and abhors, is sinful and tyrannical.”
~~ Thomas Jefferson

Great quote, I think we won’t be accepting of that tyranny much longer.

Too few conservatives understand that our government school collectives are a First Amendment and freedom of conscience abomination for all involved: student, parent, and taxpaying citizen.

It seems that only a handful of conservatives understand that it is IMPOSSIBLE to have a religiously neutral education. This is axiomatic! An education is either godless or God-centered in its worldview. Neither a godless or God-centered education is religiously neutral in its content or consequences.

While government school collectives forbid free expression of God-centered religious expression, it subjects children to a non-stop godless and secular religious indoctrination. Merely to make any academic progress children MUST learn to think and express their thoughts GODLESSLY.

Every collectivist day in these godless schools the government strictly regulates the children's speech, press, and assembly. In many ways children have far less freedom than prisoners. Simply by attending children learn to adapt to the yoke of government tyranny and absorb the official government religion of godless secularism.

As for adding a moment of silence, a sprinkle of prayer ( prior to the mid-1960s,) or even returning to the generic and lukewarm Protestant Christianity offered in the mid-1800s to early 1900s)...well...We know what Christ does with the lukewarm. He spits them out of His mouth!

I find that most conservatives agree in principle with the prevailing government school paradigm. However, it is inconsistent to agree with the collectivist government school model while rejecting its inevitable redistributionist tax consequences.

Yes, I find it EXASPERATING!!!

Government schools from the very beginning in the mid-1800s to early 1900s, we built upon a corrupt foundation of police threat!!! Collectivist government schools have **ALWAYS** been socialist funded, compulsory, and government owned and run. And...They have **NEVER** been religiously neutral.

Why would any conservative think that it would be possible to reform a collectivist, socialist-funded, compulsory use, and government owned and run social program??? Huh? ( Is a "duh" needed here?)

Simply by attending children learn to quietly bear the yoke of government collectivism, socialism, compulsion, and even government ownership and management of their lives. Collectivist, godless, socialist government schools made Woodrow Wilson, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Lyndon Johnson, Carter, Clinton, Obama, all of their collectivist policies, and now DEATH PANELS were utterly INEVITABLE!

“To compel a man to furnish contributions of money for the propagation of opinions which he disbelieves and abhors, is sinful and tyrannical.” ~~ Thomas Jefferson

Excellent quote! Again... government schools are First Amendment and freedom of conscience abomination for every citizen in this nation! They are corrupt and have **ALWAYS** been corrupt.

You are right parents should be responsible. So let them have the money that they have paid as a taxpayer into the public education system back since they aren’t utilizing it.

That’s what a tax credit is all about.

VERY eloquently stated!

I agree enthusiastically.

“Public Education” is better characterized as “Collectivist Indoctrination”.

As Marshall McLuhan said, “The Medium Is the Message.” In this case, the Medium is the Collectivist Government School. That in itself *IS* the message of Government Education - Collectivism.

I refuse to participate, even though it still costs me.

Why not just let the parents KEEP the money in the first place? Why must they be TAXED, have “administrative fees deducted”, and then have it redistributed to them at much less than what they are paying INTO such a collectivist, communist system?

Absurd. I won’t participate.

*ELIMINATE* the bloody, confiscatory, compulsory, collectivist government school taxes!

Federalist Papers and the US Constitution should be mandatory reading in 9-12 grade yearly.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

If you are referring to private schools, then I agree. Private schools should be urged to do this and parents should request and even demand it.

But..If you are referring to our current system of collectivist government schools, do you see the very contradiction of your statement?

The children would read these documents and then for the remainder of the year they would be forced ( under police threat) to continue in a cesspool of indoctrination that is by law ( that means police threat) socialist, godless, collectivist, compulsory, and government owned and run.

Simply by attending these collectivist schools children learn to be comfortable with the government using the threat of police force to collect the money for a service their parents want for tuition-FREE.

The children learn to be comfortable with government compulsion and government owned management of their daily lives.

The children are taught ( every minute of their collectivist school day) how to think godlessly.

Wow!....What a contradiction between this and the Federalist Papers and the Constitution!

Well...Actually, I borrowed from your expression ““school collective” ( AKA school boards and school districts) .

As much as possible we should use communist expressions to describe government schooling.

I am off to do a Google search on communist expressions to see how they can be adapted to government schooling.

“Political Correctness” was coined by Mao Tse Tung in his book, “The Thoughts of Chairman Mao”. It was affectionately called “The Little Red Book” by the SDS and Weathermen and other 60’s revolutionaries. It was their Bible. It is the foundational document for the current US Government.

You and I are definitely on the same page.

The Medium Is the Message.

In this case, the Medium is collectivist government schools, and the Message is Collectivism.
