Chinese Missiles Could Close U.S. Bases in Attack, Report Says

The Chinese military’s nonnuclear missiles have “the capability to attack” and close down five of six major U.S. Air Force bases in South Korea and Japan, an unpublished government report says.

China’s improved inventory of short- and medium-range missiles provides a “dramatic increase” in its ability to stifle U.S. military operations in the western Pacific, according to excerpts from the draft of the 2010 annual report that the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission is scheduled to release on Nov. 17.

China’s current force “may be sufficient” to destroy runways, parked aircraft, fuel and maintenance facilities at Osan and Kunsan air bases in South Korea, and Kadena, Misawa and Yokota bases in Japan, the report says. The facilities are within 700 miles of China.

An upgraded missile arsenal, including a 30 percent increase in cruise missiles since last year, “poses a significant challenge to U.S. forces operating in the region,” the report says. Defense Secretary Robert Gates in June called China’s improved missile arsenal “a real concern” that also threatens U.S. aircraft carriers.

Wang Baodong, a spokesman for the Chinese Embassy in Washington didn’t respond to an e-mail seeking comment.

O’Bama will probably point to this and declare with satisfaction: “See, I told you the U.S. is in decline!!”

Thank you Bill Clinton for the traitorous selling of the technology to make this possible. Anything for a buck, huh?

The biggest weapon China or any of our enemies has is Obama in the White House.

Of course they could,,, and the next morning all their factories shut down because their biggest market is gone. China wants to be rich and maintain internal control. If they ever attack us, it’ll be a refusal to loan us money.

And a few Trident Submarines could destroy every major military base in China.

"Chinese Missiles Could Close U.S. Bases in Attack, Report Says"

Yep, and Mr. Barak Obamadinajad has already declared that he would not use a nuclear response to a conventional military attack against the U.S. In liberal-speak that means he has given China his express permission to attack the US while we exchange tit-for-tat strikes, a 'strategy' that plays right into China's newfound military and economic strength.

Lots of us live in dream worlds about what one missile of ours can do.

The Chinese military buildup is real as is the possibility they will use it. After they knock out our carriers and air bases you can reassure any survivors about knocking out that dam.

And one missile of theirs can, take your pick, destroy any one of our greatest cities.

Isn't there some gratitude we have due to Bernie Swartz at LORAL AEROSPACE and Bill Clinton for putting the Chinese on the right track in their failing guided missile program?

Of course, it was of some benefit to America. After all, Clinton got lots of nice campaign donations and re-elected in 1996 so it was a win/win, right?

Don’t forget they have a huge “disposable” population of young wifeless males.

Yes, he did. Known as China Gate Bill Clinton arranged things so that the ChiComs could purchase two of the most cutting edge ICBM technologies we have. The guidance system which the Chinese had been failing badly at on their own for about 20+ years. And MIRV technology. Multiple Independent Re-entry Vehicles.

Up to 12 warheads per ICBM each capable of being programmed to seek their own target with precision accuracy. They separate from the missile after it passes its apogee and begins descending. By then there would be less than 15 minutes left before each warhead reached its target.

Yes, Slick Willy was very concerned that our children were safe in their classrooms. /s
